New England frontrunner to land Anquan Boldin via trade after Ravens pursued him, according to league sources.

Arizona is closing in on a long-anticpated deal to trade Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin. Leading contender: Baltimore. KC also in.

The New England Patriots have emerged as the frontrunner to land Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Anquan Boldin via a trade, according to league sources.

The Baltimore Ravens have been heavily pursuing Boldin, but the Patriots lead for Boldin's services at this point.

Nothing is done right now, but the Patriots are regarded as the leader in the Boldin sweepstakes.

The Ravens and Patriots and other unknown teams are jockeying for position in trade discussions with Cardinals general manager Rod Graves.

If the price gets too high, the Ravens could move on with a different player, including Houston Texans free agent Kevin Walter, who's on their radar.

Damn, Schefter is almost never wrong either. Wilson is solid too, but I'd have to say I trust Schefter quite a bit more. He's the best out there.

Wilson is a very good Ravens source, as that is the team he has covered for a long time. I would think he is getting his info from the Ravens side.

I will tell you right now as I did last season about Burgess, if the Pats trade a 2nd for Boldin, the Pats will get robbed. Boldin is a great receiver but he is always injured. With the draft being as deep as it is, why make the trade?
