i feel sorry for his little girl. she will be affected by this mess the most. and she's innocent.

Aye but she will end up better for it eventually. There is going to need to be quite a bit of therapy before that happens, though.

He was a living being and a fellow human, until he willfully decided to become a murderer.

Dislike all you want, no compassion for murderers.
I understand your perspective, and used to share it. True compassion isn't conditional.

WTF? AH hasn't been a Patriot for 4 years now

And plus only 14 players on the team have played with him before, and I doubt any of them were close to him given what we've learned. Just dumb HAWT TAKEZZZZ as per usual.

Here it goes......BSPN starting their ****.

Players on the 2016 team who also were Patriots teammates with Hernandez:
- Brady
- Gronk
- Edelman
- Solder
- Cannon
- Amendola* (2013 offseason workouts only)
- Vollmer (now retired)
- Develin
- Bolden
- Gostkowski
- Slater
- Ninkovich
- Hightower
- Chung
- McCourty
- Harmon* (2013 offseason workouts only)
- Ryan* (2013 offseason workouts only, now with Tennessee)
- Blount* (2013 offseason workouts only, now a free agent)
- Collins* (2013 offseason workouts only, didn't finish 2016 with the team)

That's it. Far and away the majority of the team had no involvement with the guy. Why would they care? Why would they cancel the trip for this?

This seems weird given how happy he was last week after the not guilty verdict.

Prayers for his mom and family. Just want to move on from this. Was hoping this offseason would be distraction-free. Guess not.
I think this may hopefully provide closure to many individuals and entities that have been attached to this horrific story since its beginning. We'll see.

Life insurance doesn't pay out if you kill yourself.
Not necessarily. Every policy is different and you have to read the fine print. Many policies have at least a 12 and more often a 24 month exclusion on paying out after a suicide in order to avoid the prospect of someone buying the policy while planning to commit suicide in the near future.

It's important to remember that suicide can be the result of multiple, complex causes including life circumstances (apparently the case in Hernandez' situation) and mental illness.

That's why Actuaries spend their lives developing the pricing structure of Life Insurance policies. An insurance company may choose not to underwrite a Life policy for someone with a diagnosed illness, mental or physical, or they may charge a risk premium for the policy. But, once the policy is written and, if its terms are met, the company will pay.

I have compassion for Todd Heap.

Anyone could make that mistake, feel terrible for the guy.

AH made his bed, I'm not going to feel bad when he finally decides he's sick of the fleas...

Agree to disagree.

The guy who gets blamed for it was framed

no she won't. not even close. growing up without a father is something you never get over. its a hole in the soul that gets bigger with age. i know. i grew up without a father. mine was killed when i was a year old. he was killed in a construction accident when i was a year old. the older you get. the more you realize what you missed. there is no replacing a parent. Arron Hernandez's father also died while he was young. I often think to myself. how things would have been different if he was around.
You can't equate your own personal tragic experience with that. Hernandez is a murderer with known gang ties. She's better off in the long run not being raised by him.

I would be curious to see if they find any evidence of CTE in an autopsy. It definitely would not excuse anything, and god knows there are a lot of people who do stupid, irrational things for no reason. He could be one of them. But any time a football player breaks as hard as he did, you have to wonder.

you are wrong. to her he's just her dad. there is a bond there regardless of what he did. she still loved him.

That's a straw man. I never made that claim. I simply made the claim that, in the long run, she's better off not being raised by a convicted murderer and someone with gang ties. She is.

Aaron made a deal with the devil and now he gets to pay him back....sad but as Bill always says "it is what it is"
Disagree.
I have no idea what was in Hernandez' mind or what the state of his conscience was at the moment of his death, but I do believe in the possibility of Redemption for all, no matter how evil their deeds.
Any "pay back" is between Aaron Hernandez and his Creator for all of eternity.
