The next step for the families of the victims Hernandez was recently acquitted of any wrong doing would have been a much easier to prove civil suite. This would have stripped Hernandez's family from whatever $$ that was left. This move by Hernandez keeps that $$ for his finance's account.

Along those lines, I wonder if he or his family had any active life insurance policies on him. Since life policies generally become incontestable after two years, if there are any policies bought before that they will have to pay out, even though this was a suicide.

Neither were "found innocent". They were found not guilty. The jury is not saying they didn't do it, the jury is saying the state failed to prove that they did do it. Not the same at all.

A lot of life insurance policies usually pay for suicide after a 2 yr waiting period from the time the policy was purchased........Prevents suicidal people from purchasing policies and then offing themselves...

I think he was addressing that it's easy to label someone a scumbag without digging into how some kids live in environments that contribute to their paths to becoming a murderer. But I agree that the shoe fits. Whether AH was pre wired or conditioned to be a murderer the end result was he was a damaging member of our society.

I do applaud what @betterthanthealternative and his wife do.

Goddamnit Hernandez, you are the single most frustrating Patriot to ever exist. A massive chance at success, aided by top talent and the mind took you elsewhere.

The man was at the mercy of a mental illness that he let get the best of him. It will never justify his actions, but there was something wrong with him.

I'd be surprised if he had CTE (not super surprised) because the way his brother described him in that longform article someone posted awhile back.. It just seemed like Aaron had a hard time since day one figuring out what was right and wrong. He always chalked himself up to those around him just to make everyone like him, with no boundary.
