If Tom can beat this in court... does anyone think some will be more determined than ever to "get" him or the Patriots?

One thing I can think of is Tom getting some more "special" attention from PED testing. Since positive tests can happen over the weirdest things I hope he's aware of what can happen and aware at all times what he is taking or ingesting.

Maybe I'm being really paranoid...but after the stench that is being uncovered in the last 8 months in the league front office I wouldn't put anything and I mean ANYTHING past them...

I predict GoodLOL's time as commissioner will come to an end shortly after he loses in court.

Why would the majority of other owners suddenly stop going full ****** if Goodell loses in court? Believe me, I hope what you say comes to fruition... but he would need the majority of other owners to oust him in order for that to happen.

not concerned at all........

in fact, there would never be a better time for Brady to take PEDs.........after getting spanked like a bad monkey, they won't be coming back for more any time soon

Right or wrong, I'm worried about referees letting all hits on him go. Once defenders pick up on this, Brady will really be in danger.

The NFL will be under a microscope (with regards to Brady). anything they do that makes it look like they might even be thinking of retribution would be grounds for more damage. they'd never admit it in public, but they'll be walking on eggshells.

Though, you know Roger would publicly admit it a victory for the NFL if Brady got 0 games and a small fine.

Brady sued the league a few years ago. More precisely, he gave his name to a broad lawsuit.

Somebody should cry retaliation for that. Easiest start is peppering mailbags like Reiss' with the question until it's answered. I mean a question like "Are Brady's troubles this year retaliation for that lawsuit?"

That will get the issue published online somewhere at least, where lazy media types can then steal it on a slo day.

If they do go after Brady arbitrarily in a future endeavor.. that would constitute harassment.

BB was the intended target here and he is more likely to be one in the future.. he goes right up Kensils butt.

"Welcome Back Mr Goodell. We've got business to discuss."

Why would the REFS be on the NFLs side against Brady????

Have you been paying attention to their labor situation the last few years? Do you not remember when they were locked out and replaced for the first few games of the 2012 season? Or do you think they are part of the league office?

Are you kidding me? This makes Brady a GOD to them.

So what's up with this Contempt Of Court thing with the NFL? Don't know the details. Is Goodell and the NFL in COC for something?

The league already tried to fix the damn Super Bowl. How much more special attention can they give the Pats!

I've been saying this since the beginning of this saga, there will be an authorized bounty out there targeting Brady, Gronk, Edelman, anything that ensure the Patriots will not win again. I'm always skeptical and realistic, and I don't feel paranoic at all for thinking on these possibilities. The NFL front office just proved they are corrupt in the most evil ways.

If this comes out in Brady's favor, and I truly think it will, the pats organization can't afford to let up. Kraft knows this, and that's why he tried to quell the storm by bowing his head and giving up a first rounder. His comments after Brady's arbitration decision essentially meant, "Either Goodell will have to resign for this, or I will have to give up ownership of the Patriots." The other 31 realistically have the power to excommunicate Kraft in a number of ways. Still, even if decisions come out in Brady's and Kraft's favor, the other owners can still side against him. Bob, teary eyes and all, wanted to avoid this as it would essentially destroy the organization.

Now that everyone's all-in, that's exactly what it means. All-in. The owners will eventually have to side with either Goodell or Kraft.

Berman wants both sides to settle... that's exactly what Kraft tried to do already, at the ire of a large part of the NE fan base. It's past that at this point and it's Goodell's fault. This has to end with Goodell jobless and Kraft knows it.

Those are the stakes in case anyone missed what's been going on.

The problem with ousting Goodell is that it takes a 3/4 majority, 24 of 32 owners.

I don't think you can even get 24 owners to agree about what day of the week it is.

Yep, and so many Pats fans were upset that Bob didn't put his **** on the chopping block earlier.
