A little stand up comedy from Blandino and the league that hates you.

This call is absolutely indefensible. The official is looking at the pile and declaring Washington has it while Duke Johnson is walking around with the ball in his hands. She clearly thought the ball was still in the pile. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of a worse call than this. That ref is horrible and Blandino is nothing but a bad joke.

It wasn't just her. Two other officials jumped in to find the ball while Johnson is standing there holding it. I talked to my friend the Browns fan earlier this week and he was asking me what I thought about the call. I hadn't seen it yet so I need to call him back.

Are these replacement refs? Sure seems like it. I hope the n effin l doesn't do a "make good" for the browns this Sunday....

“Our mission is to administer the game with the highest standards of integrity, clarity and consistency commensurate with the expectations of the world’s best coaches, athletes, and fans,” says Blandino. “One of the great things about our game is the human factor. Although I am not competent, experienced or in any way qualified for my position, I strive to be as weasely and dishonest as possible, educate when needed, and not learn from my mistakes.

-Dean Blandino

fixed that for you Deano.

They are all temp service refs. None of them have had any professional training or guidance since Slappy Bandino has been doing stand up administrating.

“Dean has been in football officiating for the past 20 years and has made it his life,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said when Blandino was promoted to vice president of officiating. “He is highly respected by our game officials
20 years of watching videos and getting Goondell coffee is not officiating experience. I'm sure many posters have officiated at some level and are more qualified than him.

Highly respected? Anyone who has worked a job knows an unqualified political hire isn't respected. Refs probably just mail it in, when they used to take pride in their jobs.

It's so aggravating that I love so much the game of football, and I hate so much the league that it's played in.

The new AFL 2020. Coming soon to a lockout near you. Just imagine, professional officiating. It can be done.

I don't hate on the officials who made the call. Officials will make the wrong call from time to time. THAT happens, just like players who make bad plays....only a LOT less. The crime here is Blandino's insistence that the correct call was made. Joe Thomas' quote of "Lie til you die", has become the watch words of the boys from 354 Park Ave. From Ray Rice, to the concussion issue, to deflategate, etc, "lie til you die" is simply what they do. It is NEVER their fault.

It is this pervasive mind set that has seeped into the very being of the NFL, so it should be no big surprise to Pats fans that Blandino is taking the hard line here, despite the pervasive and definitive evidence against him.

Worst call in NFL history? Some say. Of course those ridiculous calls the refs make on catches are up there, because the rules are so complicated, nobody knows what every kid on a sandlot knows. He caught the feckin ball.

This crap is, IMO, the truth behind the ratings drop. The league is doing everything it can to make itself unwatchable.

Blandinko went to Hofstra. That tells you everything

Is that an arm or a ball? I honestly can't tell from that twitter pic.

Up there with this 2010 gem from Joey Crawford.

It's right up there with the Fail Mary call as the worst in NFL history. The difference being "Fail Mary" was a product of the replacements.

Not surprising she made this call. She was on Morelli's crew last year, the most incompetent crew in the history of football not including replacement officials

Bill even had to take her aside in a game last year and explain to her that an OL can in fact be held when a defender grabs his shoulders and pulls him down

Another BB teaching moment . . .

She made a mistake. It happens. Like Goodell, Blandino was born a mistake.

This isn't surprising. I think I posted a while ago about Bland-turds video "explanation" about the PI/Non PI call on Gronk against Carolina in '13. While this a-hole is talking and explaining what the event was and all the while what he was explaining isn't quite what was going on on the screen behind him. I mean the explanation was contradicted by the actual video evidence.

Here it is actually.
Dean Blandino addresses Patriots-Panthers final play on 'MNF'

Yes Bland-turd, the restriction was well before the ball was touched, but you are so corrupt you can't tell the truth AS ITS PLAYING BEHIND YOU!!

That is hilarious. The ball arrived a good two beats after Gronk was contacted, then held. Like watching Baghdad Bob talking about the great victory while the building behind him is blowing up.
