The Pats look flat, unemotional today I'm wondering what people think:

1.Is this just a let down from all the emotion of last weeks Rat Bowl.

2.Or just one of those "on any given Sunday" flukes.

3.OR did they take Miami 0'2 to lightly

When ever I try to predict the final won/loss record for the season I always throw in a loss that you don't thin will happen.

As I'm writing this the Pats just score to make it 28/13 so maybe this is premature. But the Fins look faster, hungrier.

yes

I really think today was the Tom Brady let down. I'm glad the bye week is coming up. They need to find themselves.

Last week they sucked it up, and the hate for the Jets helped.

This week they showed how down they are with the Brady loss. They came in thinking Super Bowl, and after week 1, they realized that was a longshot.

4. Possibly the beginning of the end

Probably a combo of the 4. This is the 1-15 Miami Dolphins that came into Foxboro. And if Mangini didn't fall to pieces every time BB is near the Pats would've lost last week as well.

The Pats have the greatest 3-4 D-line in recent NFL history which will keep them in almost every game but for all his marbles BB did not properly address the backup QB position. Cassel is absolutely terrible IMHO and the Pats will not be able to play from behind all season. Has he thrown the ball over 20 yards in the air for a completion this season? Its not his fault, he should never of been put in this situation.

The bye week actually comes at a good time for the Pats, will allow Cassel to get his feet under him and 2 weeks to prepare for what should be a confidence building game versus San Fran.

We'll know a lot more after the next game. Which Patriots team is the real one, the one that beat the Jets or the one that rolled over to the Fins?

My prediction: the defense we saw against the Jets was closer to what we'll see the rest of the season than what we saw today, but the offense will struggle all season.

good realistic post here....except for the last paragraph,.......Cassel isn't going to change in the next two weeks.......what you see is what you get....and that is an average to below average backup QB that is best utilized in handing off, and short passes, screens, and dump offs.......Now since our OL sucks a##.....and we therefore have NO running game.....AND....our D has been very spotty and inconsistent....in all REALITY,.....don't expect much from this squad this year....I think 9-7 is about right.....

This was just a plain old butt whooping! After issuing so many of them last they're not too hard to spot. The team will recover one way or the other.

It might turn out that the Jets game was the aberation. Most people here were ready to say goodbye to Matt Cassel at the end of the preseason. Then Brady goes down and Matt has two decent games and all of sudden to some people he's the second coming of Tom Brady. Well, I'm not one of those people. I will admit he played better the past two weeks than I expected him to, but I don't really think he is going to get a lot better than what we saw last week, when we were 1 for 5 in the red zone. He has certain things he can do, but he is at best, a mediocre backup. In my HUMBLE opinion. I hope to be proven wrong, but that's what I think right now.

Yeah I thinkit struck midnight and Cassel might have turned back into a pumkin today.

Really?

I think Ronnie Brown has another way of looking at the Swiss Cheese top 3-4, and I'd be willing to BET LARGE sums of $ that it doesn't start with " The Greatest"

Last year they were spoiled, because they were in the lead almost every single week, most of the time by multiple touchdowns.

They will most definitely have to earn their $ this year, or be embarrassed continually like they were today.
