So let me get this straight. The team that just 3 weeks ago had a home game against us where they had not only a day more to prepare but we came back from a 4/5 away game stretch is now complaining about having one less day to prepare ?

The AFC North really is just one big whiner division..

If the Steelers didn't gag the game away a few weeks ago they'd be the 1 seed and be playing on Saturday.

Both 1 seeds playing on Saturday.
It is a seeding thing or do the Patriots play in primetime because they're the biggest TV draw? Just inquiring.

Some decades that's just the way the ball bounces.

I was going to say the same thing. How many Patriots players/coaches/fans complained about having to play the Steelers in their stadium right after a Monday Night game in Miami?

It would be funny if BB whined that it's unfair that the Steelers get an extra day to prepare for their divisional opponent

More about the draw.

Last year, the Cowboys were the #1 seed and played the early Sunday game. The Patriots were the #1 seed and played Saturday night. In 2015, both #1 seeds (Denver, Carolina) played Sunday.

If you ask any Vegas handicapper how much one day’s rest matters statistically (7 vs 8 days or 6 vs 7 days) the answer is ZERO. All that short week garbage is pure confirmation bias.

I love the Saturday night slot and despise the Sunday at 1 spot (for a playoff game) so I'm thrilled.

I agree with you, I think the Saturday 4PM and Sunday 1PM time slots are bad.
Saturday night or Sunday 4PM are good.

For the AFCCG I prefer the later time, but the 3PM slot is not bad.

I am a fan of the Saturday night game, the crowd is always amazing and most don't have to worry about going to work the next day, you get a full day of recovery and even more playoff football.

What is rich is that BB, Brady & the Patriots are living large in Squealer fans' and better yet Squealer players' and coaches' little heads.

Every bit helps

I’m happy as a pig in **** right now. I’m off to Scottsdale for my buddies stag that weekend. If it was the early game Saturday I would be golfing and missed it. If it was any time Sunday I’d miss it because I’ll be flying home. I haven’t missed a playoff game since I was a kid in the mid 80’s, don’t want to start now.

Big fan of Saturday night playoff games. Loved Snowbowl and Titans game.

Denver 05 not so much. To this day when I go over the box score I'm blown away that they lost that game. Branch 8/153 in his last game as a Patriot. 350+ yards from Brady, special teams return yardage was fantastic.

Then you look at the fumbles, fumbled 3, lost 3, 2 interceptions for a final tally of 5-1 ratio. One of the sloppiest games to have been played in the BB era that they still almost could of won. That game always serves as a reminder to me as to why BB is tough as nails on running backs who fumble the ball.

I don't see any of them complaining about the 2 week head start they got at the beginning of this season.

Whoever plays the Steelers in the divisional round should be upset. The NFL deliberately set the schedule to give the Steelers an extra bye week by having them play the Brown's week 17. Its all rigged! Belichick cheats, Kraft paid off the officials, the balls are deflated, avocados should be on the banned substance list, oh wait.... it was in the Steelers favor.... Nothing to see here.

Bleep the bleeping Steelers.

Even being on the west coast, I like Saturday night.

That’s why it’s our job to constantly remind their fans how many ways the Steelers could have and should have won that game. All they had to do was double or put someone over 5’6” on Gronk during that last drive or 2-point conversion. Or held onto a football when coming to the ground with no one near you. Or come up with two additional plays during a five minute officiating review. Or kick a chip shot field goal. Or throw the ball away instead of throwing it into a 1 on 6 disadvantage.
