A French April Fool's Day joke involving the Pats

Big difference between "I keek a touchdown" and playing linebacker on the Patriots. He'd be 40 before he learned enough to actually play other than special teams.

I could see coaching up a nose tackle or other freak physical lineman. Bigger upside and less to learn.

I'm talking Ted Washington size with a 4.5 40.

btw, isnt it funny how the French could have used any team, and yet they use the Pats? i wonder what that tells us about the pats in the rest of the non NFL world

No not really, the French have two options for watching NFL.
Firstly via NASN on the satellite, there you get the games from NBC and CBS live with the original commentary.
If you don't have the satellite you get to watch highlights of games on CanaL+
(a pay channel on the "terrestrial" service).
There you get the commentary of an NFL ignorant frenchman and "George Eddy"
who you can't usually understand because his french is so firkin bad.
However they do do the Superbowl live, since Pats are usually in it,they're the team best known to the French.
Chabal plays Rugby in England with Sale

NFL Europe no longer exists since the end of last season

if hes smart enough and can speak english, i would give him a try.....we need all the help we can get, and BB needs something other then the draft to occupy his mind for a couple of days....

actually, i would LOVE it if he was brought in for a workout, LOL

Chabal plays for Sale Sharks and speaks perfectly good English. I'm not sure how good his American is though.

Chabal is a great tackler but it would take him too long to learn the linebacker position. He isn't very fast either, although he works very, very hard and is very intelligent. Yes, I am full of praise for a Frenchman. EEK!

BTW, I know Lievremont is trying to rebuild the team, but surely he has a couple of years left.

Wow, it's kind of scary. Him and Vrable have the same face. They look very similar!

exactly my point, NE is the best

He's making a great point there. If you are asking questions at a French press conference, at least speak the language. I agree.

Thank you for being open-minded enough to see that
