um, ridicules , I think everyone knows I'm a Brees and Brady homer. But as much as I love Brees, he has no arm, but the most accurate in the NFL., maybe ever..and as much as I love Brady, amazing arm, perfect, but not Brees accuracy.
hmm then theres Rogers, better arm than both of them, but not as accurate as Brees or Brady. Brady is a better clutch player than Brees. But id be really surprised if either QB beat Rogers or Bradford for arm strength.

I don't know who has the strongest but some of Brady's 15-20 passes over the middle are thrown with stunning velocity, even watching from TV you can tell. Can he throw it the furthest or does he have the least arc on a 50 yarder ? Probably not. But when it comes to firing it into a tight spot 20 yards downfield I do think he can throw as hard as anyone.

I don't agree that Vick has one of the strongest arms in the NFL. I would have put Cutler and Rodgers up there before even contemplating Vick.

Exactly, there's a big difference between raw arm strength and functional/situational arm strength -- i.e., how much you can put behind a throw without loss of accuracy. (Heck, JaMarcus Russell had an amazing arm, as long as you weren't too picky about where the pass ended up.)

Brady is able to thread a needle at top velocity, which gives him the "arm strength" to make throws that most QBs couldn't. They'd have to take something off the ball to hit a spot in tight coverage 15 yards downfield, which might give the DB that extra tiny fraction of a second to get a hand in.

Painful but, 68 yards on a line, throw was effortless.

It's actually more yards if you consider he threw it from the right hash to the left side of the field.

That's an 80 yard fastball with little air under it.

Brady doesn't have the strongest arm on the team, that would be young Mr Mallett, however he has a strong enough arm to be the best QB in the NFL, ever.

I think even here where we see evidence to the contrary year after year, Tommy will always be viewed by some as the dink and dunk sixth rounder with the tepid scouting report... First impressions no matter how ill conceived are hard to shake. Some QB's are born with a freakish arm...Favre, Bledsoe, etc. They tend to become over reliant on it, like the WR with freak speed or height. But arm strength and accuracy are skills that can be developed with conditioning and mechanics and Tom has made it a focus of his career to maximize his natural ability which was never less than adequate to begin with via maintaining almost slavish attention to both details... Same way he honed his intangible or less quantifiable skills through atttention to detail.

Receivers who come here are often stunned with the velocity of the Brady ball. If you watch closely he throws one stunningly tight spiral at any distance.

Brady's arm strength is attributed to his excellent technique. With good throwing technique a little goes a long way. However, there are videos from back in the day of Michael Vick winging it 50 or 60 yards from his knees.
