Bro.
You defended this team all off-season last year.
@maust and I have been consistently sharing how we don't like how they pander to the pink hats, how they try to control the narrative, and, most importantly, maintain small market payroll thinking while being a major market team. Then, once all of us had bought in on them late last summer, you were down on them. Are you just trying to be contrarian? There's a whole slew of fans that feel like we do, including guys like Portnoy, who's voice might be the loudest. Hell, Tom Caron even spoke up. Right now, they are so far from the Dodgers it's not even funny. They don't have a full time third baseman, and have Romy Gonzalez listed as 1st on the depth chart at 2nd AND 3rd, while backing up everyone else at short and first. All this assumes Contreras (who hasn't hit over .270 since 2019) is the every day 1st baseman. Sonny Gray is older than dirt as your #2. Payton Tolle has great upside, but he desperately needs another pitch to reach his potential. The bullpen is solid. They need a bat, and are too GD cheap to pay what the market bears. You can rant and rave guys aren't worth it, but if other teams are paying it, then they are indeed worth it.
I was a Sox fan before the Pats, and I really want to like them, but John Henry has used up all of the goodwill as far as I am concerned. Sad, because he should be a saint here in New England. Saved Fenway, improved it, brought multiple titles to the city, but he's pissed it away, all while offering us a pink umbrella emblazoned with the Boston Red Sox logo to shield us from the urine stream. All set.
Bo Bichette? Ok, fine. Is he moving to third? Is Story? It's not ideal.
