Listen, the kid is under contract for TWO more years. He better be on the field. If the team has committed to make him the highest paid CB in the league orally, then the deal is just waiting to see what Whitherspoon gets. He is doing nothing heroic here. He is simply honoring his existing contract. I guess doing that these days is considered something special these days.

I saw some media idiot post on FB saying Gonzo’s comment showed he was mad at Kraft over it.

Everybody trying to stir things up, foment controversy. I think it’s trying to get noticed on social media means everybody is trying to scream louder than everybody else.

Whatever happened to just watching the show and enjoying it?

Barmore was coming back from the blood clot issues last year. I think he had to work his way back into playing shape. I think he kept a lower profile last preseason because of it.

QB3 for now, but I think the point is he’s showing that he may become a good QB2, a guy you can win games with if QB1 misses time. Those are hard to come by.

Team isn't doing shat (getting to SB) without Maye. QB2 or QB3 makes no difference.

People are over playing what happened with Barmore today. Stuff like this happens all the time. I remember the time that Rodney absolutely lit up Troy Brown and Kevin Faulk in his first training camp with the Patriots that turned into skirmishes. These things happen. It is only an issue if they happen over and over again.

This board has been downplaying his frustrations as a pass rusher dating back to his rookie season. 3 sacks in the last 21 games after being paid for his lone fluke season is outright pathetic. AVT clearly is stonewalling him which is pissing him off. That's the only explanation for what he did. In fact, the last thing I want to hear is that AVT is struggling in pass protection against this guy who was doing the waltz all season with G's. That would be a bad sign for the OL.

For the 2nd straight season, he's nowhere to be found on the top 10 list voted by execs, scouts and coaches and not even a mention among 20 other players. You can forget about the NFL's top 100 voted by players - he's not even in the universe. He's by far the most overrated Pats player in very long time.

They played everyone else but him after injuries last year. In the end he wasn't even dressing.

He was on the roster all season, however, but only played 19 snaps.

If we lost Maye for the season, yeah obviously. But if he misses a game or two here and there, having a chance at actually winning those games can make the difference in making the playoffs or, at the very least, seeding.

I’m concerned about CB depth…especially if Woods is injured and it’s not heat exhaustion.

I was concerned about CB depth before TC ever began.

Why does everybody keep acting like it's a surprise Boutte keeps getting better? That's literally all he's ever done since he got here. Year over year improvement. Isn't that what we want out of young receivers?

I always thought we should keep Boutte. Y'all saw some of those plays he made to get us to the big game. It takes two to tango and he helped get it done with our superstar QB.
