DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft: Day 2

Delp can rotate in with Henry his rookie year as a good blocker & develop his skills as a receiver
Roush enters the NFL as an high level blocker & with his size could be a redzone threat

Either one would make this draft an A
Top in-line TE: Hill
Top receiving TE: Henry

Whoever they draft will be behind one of those guys to start, but could pass or replace them by 2027. Dippre still in the mix too.

Kiper is a ****. He obviously is tipping the picks. He is probably getting a text of the picks before they are announced so he can look smart. Annoying watching. Switching to NFL Network
He may be a ****, but he forever gets a pass for me with the “It’s obvious to me that the Jets don’t understand what the draft is all about,” quote. Just absolutely perfect.

Shat. Fills out the Bears TE room very well

I am not saying he isn't worth pick 55. He is. But McNeil and probably McCoy were better prospects. McCoy maybe not cause of his injury situation.. but McNeil would clearly be the better value pick.

McNeil-Warren vs. Jacas is going to vary from team to team based on both player grading and need. Both would be great values at 55, I would have been happy with either. The Pats had both in for visits, both positions of need.

McNeil-Warren is a very good player, but I'm not sure he is the type Vrabel prefers.

I did that last night.

Good grief! Eagles selecting Markel Bell! We’ll nevah get rid of the “Tush Push” now!!

Just looked at the clip on Gabe and liked what I saw. He has a nice burst off the edge. He can put his hand in the dirt and rush like a LB from 2 pts. But most importantly he can set the edge and be a 3 down player down the road. I get people getting fired up for guys like RMasom, and Cassius. They both have explosive speed and bend and will test pass protectors. However, they both are currently liabilities in the run game and thus would be one trip ponies. At least in their first few years in the league. Gabe has some power and heft and at 265 be effective on inside loops and setting the edge.

I think this kind of versatility makes him the better pick over those 2. The only question is, did we give up too much to move up. Seems like those in the know think it wasn't a good deal for us but was fair by whatever metrics draftniks use to assess trades. TE is clearly the next choice. Though the small school S that a lot of people had going in the first, WAS pretty tempting.
