Probably a late day 3 or UDFA prospect but Cole Wisniewski of Texas Tech is interesting as a special teamer, SS or S/LB hybrid. He's 6'4, 220lbs and is awesome as a run defender. If Vrabel wants a safety to set the edge on outside runs, look no further.

Grades:

Coverage grade: 71.0
Run Defence: 87.0 5 missed tackles.

He missed all of 2024 because of a foot injury, but in 2023 while at North Dakota State, he put up an elite graded season.

Coverage Grade: 91.8 (8 INTs)
Run Defense: 88.4 (92 tackles)

Like Jacob Rodriguez, Wisniewski is all over the field when you watch Texas Tech.

I really like the idea of Keionte Scott at S:

Playing nickel, Scott, who stands 6-foot and weighs 192 pounds, understands the importance of needing to be versatile.

"It's a very complex position," Scott said. "Having to be a linebacker at times, a corner at times and the safety at times. I feel like my playing style of being closer to the ball is very unique for me and what I fit in the defense is just being close to the ball, being able to be a run-stopper, guarding the best guys on the team, sometimes in the slot. It's something I take advantage of and I love."

I'm not sure he's a conventional safety, he's a matchup piece that benefits from playing closer to the LoS that is outstanding at providing run support and blitzing. He's the type of player every DC/HC wants.

But he has the run support that Vrabel craves, and also strong coverage skills.

Mesidor and Scott are my two primary binkies now. Maybe Jacob Rodriguez. Bailey and Lemon probably go too high.

If Scott's character checks out, he is absolutely a Vrabel type guy.
