Simpson isn't a better prospect than Mendoza, but the Alabama QB is in a similar tier from a traits standpoint.

A guy that is 6'6" probably has shuttle and 3cone times that would scare us. Is a RAS score valid when guys skip the testing they are bad at?

The overall RAS becomes moot, but the individual comparisons are still valid..

Has he bought in to the idea of WR/TE? If so, you could get a Julian Edelman. If not, a Pat White.

FWIW King apparently didn't talk about a Taysom Hill-type role with Ashton Grant when they met.

Or King was told not to tell the specifics of what was talked about in regards to an expanded role.

So, he averaged over 313 yards and 3 passing TDs per game during his ENTIRE College career..
One thing not mentioned: He had double digit interceptions (13, 11, 13, 14) during his 4 seasons.

If he can ever get it so that he's consistently using his legs and hips to throw, he'll be an even better passer as one of the knocks is that he "arms" his throws..
