A potentially strong class this year. Let's hope every potential round one QB has a great year this year so that some good prospects drop to us.

Could be a good time for us to look into a more long term backup as well in day 3, if it’s not Devito anyways.
Aren't we all on the Tommy Cutlets bandwagon?

This is always such a primo thing that happened when we had Brady and now hopefully with Drake too. 5 or maybe 6 teams fall in love with qbs in the first 15 picks.

I figure that's around where conservative estimates on the pats record will be. So potentially having the opportunity to take a top 10 non qb pick later in the draft is money

Hopefully although it didn't happen last year. There's still a lot up in the air with this crop of QBs. I don't think it's guaranteed that Sellers and Manning come out, Allar and Mendoza have a lot to prove and Klubnik did not look like a first round QB and Dane Brugler says he's been getting very mixed grades from teams including day 3. Nussmeier looked like a top 5 worthy pick in week one but I'd say he's the only one. There's a long way to go and I hope they all play like top 5 QBs for the reason you state but we're not there yet.

Over-reaching for QBs will probably occur, regardless.

Most bad teams are unstable at the QB position, and have high picks to gamble. Many successful teams have relative stability at the position, and can spend draft capital on other positions. Not a universal, but a trend.

As long as 4-5 teams in the top 15 are QB desperate, the rest will sort itself out.

I anticipate a late round guy/UDFA being brought in. I have an irrational love for Diego Pavia from Vandy and think that he will move up to the 4th round

Dane Brugler says some NFL teams have a first round grade on Cade Klubnick, some have a ay 3 grade on him. Looks like the day three teams have the right of it for now.

Just on Mendoza against Illinois. It was an excellent performance but there is a note of caution. He had just one pass over 20 yards which was incomplete and 17/21 completions were within 10 yards of the LoS. He didn't put his team in trouble and did enough to help them win but I would like to see him airing the ball out more before annointing him with the 1st overall pick.

Depending on the teams in the Top 5, he'll be Top 5 but I think Sellers will likely be chosen before him all things being equal.

He's my favourite for the Heisman this year although we'll know more after the Penn State game. He's a RS Soph so it might be smart to stay in school.

If he's a projected top 10-15 pick, may be smart to come out while he's hot.

Can't wait to see Oregon-Penn St.

Sadly I don't get it here in the UK. Georgia- Alabama for me.

Hopefully Mateer comes back from the broken hand and can pick up again where he left off.
