Transitioning from college to the Pros with only a Power Bull rush is tough as we learned with Keion White. Moore has more speed and bend than White. Parker might be the best compromise (outside the top guys) as he has some speed, some bend, but still is good defending the run.Moore has to rely on power, it's really his only move.
Watch his highlights. he looks slow and very undynamic.
He won't overpower NFL OTs so easily, then he really has no other moves.
That's exactly what I thought when watching Moore, Keion White flashbacks for sure.Transitioning from college to the Pros with only a Power Bull rush is tough as we learned with Keion White. It will be interesting how far Barham drops, he has a lot of quickness and is a late bloomer so he has room to grow. I think Barham is a OLB in the NFL (a little small for DE) and the transition might take a bit of time, but if guys like Barham and Kanak fall enough, they are great athletic high upside picks in the 6th or 7th.
Just a random thought.
1. There are two edges for which we haven't any reported interest. Jaishawn Barham and Derrick Moore.
2. Lots of speculation we're not looking at EDGE in the first. Recent interest in Gabe Jacas and Malachi Lawrence may argue against that though but bear with me.
3. Moore is ranked 61, Barham 86.
Our second and third picks? I wouldn't hate it. I don't think either are starters any time soon, but they'd make for an awesome 3rd/4th EDGE.
Could be the other side of the line too as they have 3 OL prospects.Just saw Andrew Callahan say that a little birdie told him OLB coach Mike Smith, Matt Groh, Eliot Wolf and four other FO staff were at the Auburn pro day. Maybe Keldric Faulk, but I wouldn't mind betting more likely for Keyron Crawford.
Good point on Jeremiah Wright in particular.Could be the other side of the line too as they have 3 OL prospects.
