I'll post it again, but yes, the Bengals defense is atrocious.

And they've only won 1 game.

They got beat by the Jets even though they scored 38 pts.

I mean truly, I'm sure we have some football stat savants here, has there ever been as bad a defense as both the 24/25 Bengals?

Smith-Njigba looks like a really good WR and I want an elite WR as much as anyone. Although WR has always been a need with the Pats since 2018, CB was also a major need as well after the 2022 season. WR's were Mossing them all year and Gonzalez was the best available player.

Taking a WR that high would've been too risky given the poor track record. We would've been pissed if Bill took a WR that busted while Gonzalez has already made All Pro in his first full year starting. Really good CB's are very difficult to find these days.

Took a quick glance and found this:

Patriots in 70 & 72, 25 & 31 respectively, were worst in PPG this years.

Second worst of all time? 2020 Lions at 32.4.

Bengals currently at 31.6 ppg. Last 4 games, they're at 36.5.

Number one spot are '81 Colts at 33.3 ppg.

Bengals could legit post the worst defense of all time this season.

Jayden Daniels is almost 2 years older and played 29 more games in college than Drake so it should be no surprise he was better as a rookie, it's possible he came in already at his ceiling though and Drake was nowhere near it.
