Most plays in the NFL are run with the tackles in a 3-point stance.
Is that really right? My impression was that 2-point predominates for passing plays. But can't say I've ever looked closely.

In the college game I've seen a 70% 2-point stance claim (link below) - and that was a few years ago, so likely even more now. Some of that maybe comes from the Pop Warner ranks where the 3-point stance is outlawed to protect against head impacts.

What’s the issue?…

That was exactly one of the two main concerns I had for him, he's damn near 6'8", and can't really even get down low in a two-point stance, never mind a 3-point stance.

I'm glad that the coaches a) know that, and don't just throw players out there because they're on the roster, and once they're between the white lines, there's nothing you can do for them, and b) did it pretty much first thing. You can't make his arms longer, but you better make sure he can get that 3-point stance down (and hopefully without tipoffs).

Think of it like a center who's only done shotgun snaps in college.

Had they drafted Banks they wouldn't have this problem.

He's 6'1" 249 lb - 70 lb less than Campbell. So can't be right.

They weren't joking when they said Campbell has narrow shoulders. Oh well at least from all reports he was doing well in rookie minicamp. Strong punch and athleticism, etc.
