2025 Red Sox Thread

But, he lasted 3 innings.

I was expecting a Schilling type game 6 performance.
It would have been nice, but that kid ain't Schil yet. He might be someday, and he might be Calvin Schiraldi too. Time will tell.

I love Duran, but he did not have a good series.

Duran had a lousy series that capped off a poor year. Let's hope this year was an aberration and he bounces back. I'd like to think his 2024 was too good a season from front to back to have been a fluke. Only time will tell

He wouldn’t be the first guy to have a career year and then return to form.

True that but his progression from '22-'24 seemed like the ramping up you expect from a solid everyday major leaguer. Maybe the 'leader' spotlight was a bit too much of an adjustment but maybe a lot of things. again only time will tell

Very surprised that the RS bats went cold. They have been a good hitting team compared to the Royals.

I guess they need more hitting since the Yankees have approximately 70 more runs. The differential between "Runs scored" and "Runs allowed" wasnt good for the RS. + 13 is in dangerous territory.

They need to improve the defense by a lot.

As much as I wanted the Sox to eliminate the Yankees (obviously!!) it is fun watching them getting absolutely annihilated!

Just need the Jays to finish the job in the bronx

Ya Jays are really putting belt to ass to the Yankees.

Is Haywood Sullivan the gm again? They sign a third baseman (Bregman) without thinking it through in how it would affect they're all star third baseman Devers. Devers didn't want to play ball and was traded. Now Bregman is opting out of his contract, and will probably leave. Who in their right mind would sign Bregman to a contract that he could opt out of after his first year. Now the sux will probably end up with nothing to show for all this bull ****

I'm fine with the chess that the Sox are playing. Bring in vets on short term, high cost deals to cover spots until the kids are ready.

Bregman was incredibly helpful with the youngsters this year. He may be worth resigning again just for that. He's not worth resigning at huge numbers for his playing, because it'll be another contract where the back half haunts the team.

i'm a very casual observer of the red sox and have been since Sullivan missed a deadline to send contracts to Fisk and Lynn in 1980. Now i would have to pay to watch them which i refuse to do
