Barring a miracle, looks like we're on to the Chargers.

2025 was a memorable Pats season.

My favorite Pats season was 2001. I really never knew if the Pats would win or lose. This season was very similar.

Miami D didn’t show up until they realized their offense did. But we slammed the door in the 3rd quarter, the exact opposite of what happened against Buffalo. Then Miami’s D gave up again, and McDaniel’s offense is very much exposed when playing from that far behind. And their QB isn’t ready for prime time in those situations (but can handle the scripted McDaniel plays fine).

Big takeaway was the Pats turnaround in the 3rd quarter, especially given how poorly we started the quarter. Nice to see them put away a team coming out of the half.

I said before the season that eight wins would be a successful season factoring in a potentially cake schedule. Even with this schedule, 14 wins is just an incredible turnaround.

The Pats are playing with house money. One and done would still be a stellar season. But I expect them to damage in the playoffs. Too many people are discounting them way too much because of their schedule. They are destroying the bad teams. Not just winning. Dominating.

This team VASTLY outperformed my expectations and had a hell of a year.

One playoff win was my secret hope before the season.

I still have worries about the defense, but what a year one of Vrabel’s program.

Nail another draft and this team is a problem for years.

Good chance they’ll outperform that expectation as well.
