2025 Draft: WRs

I just can't put my finger on it, but I am not a Harris guy. Why are you hitched up to his wagon?
Well it all started with this clip.

Then there were all the stats/comps.

And lastly listening to him he seems like a humble kid. Unlike Tet and I feel this is important at WR1.

I like Harris, but the "humble" part is out there. WR's are some of the biggest divas in the game. Of course you want hard working, good character players. But being humble is not a major factor in WR evaluations. If someone was a turd of a person with major red flags it might factor in, but that doesn't apply to McMillan in the slightest.

Ridiculous

Can't get separation. Really?

Hold up! Why didn't he try to get more yards inside there? Was this a 2 minute drill situation?

I'm not going through all this again with you. I get it, you don't like him.

I do actually lol
Just not at 4th overall

I am going to watch all targets from Hunter, Tet, Harris and Higgins in the next day or 2. Unfortunately I don't have all 22 but should still be able to get a good idea about them. I am going to do this and then we are not going to draft any of them and I will hate our team.

Humble WRs are the worst! ****y ones are the best! Choir boys/Boy Scouts make awful WRs. You need to have an attitude, be a bit of a diva.

Bakes likes wide receivers without personalities. He’s just like our pathetic WR scouts who draft N’Keal harry, Aaron Dobson, Chad Jackson, Taylor Price, Josh Boyce, Tyquan Thornton, Ja’Lynn Polk, Brandon Tate because they are ‘good boys’. While other teams draft for talent and put up with Diva personalities and in return they get elite production

Who do you like in this draft? I'm waiting for some substantive analysis . . .

Was this open to anyone? Doesn't matter here goes. I imagine the Pats will not draft any of these players. I dropped some youtube links if anyone is unfamiliar with the players game and would like a look see. These are not my videos.

Jack Nelson seems like a high floor guy with a high IQ, he is adept at picking up stunts and twists. Needs good coaching and to improve his play strength.

Marcus Mbow the thing that I love most is his hand usage, I have read that people think he needs to move to Guard or Center. He has played both Guard and Tackle spots.

Jayden Higgins I honestly think he is the best X type WR in this draft. I love versatility and he has it in spades, he can play X, Z and slot and has great hands. Very smooth player(star in the making)

Isaac TeSlaa Has great hands, plays mostly slot as a 6-4 dude that is really quick. Vrabel made the comment that he wants large catch radius and Higgins and TeSlaa

Jihaad Campbell very fast and instinctual Off ball LB. can play sideline to sideline and is a very good blitzer and decent in coverage. He went to Bama as an edge but moved because Bama had a stacked edge room.

Edit: I forgot to add CJ West 6-1 315 that ran a 4.95. He is stout against the run and has pass rush ability. He would more than likely play at NT.

CJ Dippre Very strong guy that is a good blocker. Moves very smoothly and catches pretty well. I love his blocking ability the most though

Im starting to doubt they'll draft a receiver early. We'll have a better idea once FA starts but if the rumours they want Godwin are true and they trade for a x receiver, there is zero need to draft someone.
Just a thought that occured to me: Godwin, Aiyuk, Douglas, Bourne, Boutte, Polk and Baker. They even re signed JaQuae Jackson.
How would that impact your mocks? Would you make a higher priority drafting a TE instead of WR? Just some food for thought.

I think you're right especially as it seems they want to give Polk and Baker mulligans. I think it's an either/or with Aiyuk and Godwin though.

I asked my friend Chatgpt what he thought of this and this was his response:

That’s a deep and well-balanced receiver group with a mix of explosiveness, physicality, and versatility. Let’s break it down:

Projected WR Depth Chart & Roles
X-Receiver (Boundary WR1): Brandon Aiyuk – Elite route-runner, deep-threat, WR1.
Slot Receiver: Pop Douglas – Quick, shifty, YAC machine.
Big Slot / Possession WR: Chris Godwin – Tough, reliable, physical presence in the middle.
Z-Receiver (Flanker): Kayshon Boutte – Explosive, versatile, high-upside WR2.
WR5/Depth: Kendrick Bourne – Reliable, route-savvy veteran backing up Boutte.
WR6: Jalyn Polk – Developmental possession receiver, depth behind Aiyuk/Godwin.
WR7: Javon Baker – Depth X/Z option, contested-catch specialist.

Why This Works Well
Balance of skill sets – You have speed (Aiyuk, Douglas, Boutte), size/physicality (Godwin, Polk, Baker), and versatility (Bourne).
Separation & route-running – Aiyuk, Godwin, Douglas, and Bourne are all great route-runners.
Red-zone threats – Godwin, Polk, and Baker give the team physical targets in scoring situations.
Depth & injury protection – If anyone gets hurt, you have multiple guys who can step up.

This is a dangerous WR group if:

Aiyuk plays like a true WR1
Boutte reaches his potential
Douglas continues to develop as a dynamic slot weapon
With the right QB and offensive system, this could be one of the most complete receiver corps in the league.

i got a chuckle out of this.

There was chatter that they were going to let Bourne go....waiting to see what happens early in FA before a final decision?
