2025 Draft: WRs

Trey Harris and Golden would be tempting but I agree with you.
Do don't sleep on Bond: Isaiah Bond he had bad wheels most of the year: due to an injury.

I'll stick w/ Golden

@manxman2601 @bakes781 WR Pat Bryant said to say hello guys: and that he's not in the witness protection program.

Bru McCoy very interesting older prospect kind of the like Joe Milton of WR's. More than passes the eyeballs test: should be a RZ Threat right off the bat. Nobody is talking him: basically treating him like a wet food stamp. There's going to be some Puca Nacua's available on Day 3 and Bru could be that player.

Calling it Right now Matthew Golden is going to be a First Rounder. Texas had some really good Wide Receivers: when you think of Worthy and Mitchell last year. Isaiah Bond was slowed by injuries Texas have two really good ones in this Draft. I was kinda sleeping on Isaiah Bond but I finally woke up. Matthew Golden will be an IMPACT Rookie he can do it all.

Josh McDaniels loves WR's who go over the Middle... Jayden Higgins is that guy Big Tough WR with Great Catch Radius. Imagine Tee Higgins in FA and Jayden Higgins in the Draft.

I am actually intrigued by Jon Jiles 6-3 220. He ran a 4.57 with a 1.57 10 yard and 4.35 20 yard shuttle and 7.12 3-cone, so he is not unathletic but not a burner. Tee Higgins type big body. I came across the clip below and was impressed by the hurdle and was pretty impressed. He is a bottom of the roster guy right now but maybe a wild card.

Is it at all likely that we would take a rec at 4# other than Hunter. If so would we be better to trade down a few picks and take one there?

Tet McMillan is the only real candidate at 4. The other first round graded WRs are starting to be seen as second half or round one guys. My guess would be that we wouldn't take McMillan ahead of Hunter and Abdul Carter but if they go in the first three picks it becomes more likely that we would go with McMillan although a LT or Mason Graham would be more likely.

I would think, if we're taking a WR early in the draft, it would make more sense to look at 38. Perhaps one go the late first round receivers fall or they would look to Jach Bech, Jayden Higgins or Xavier Restrepo.

I'm off the Tet @ 4 bandwagon I think Defense is better suited there. I'm sure McDaniels is in love with Jack Bech he reminds me of Ricky Pearsall last year from Florida. Jayden Higgins has length Big Hands and Long arms: Contested catches won't be a problem for him. Sad Story but Jack Bech lost his Brother in that terrible tragedy in New Orleans... you can't help but root for him.

I'm with you on Tet and would rather have Bech at 38. Bech is mini-Tet anyway and largely fits what Vrabel said he wants from a WR. Great hands, excellent contested catch rate and whilst his YAC isn't top of the class, it's decent. My concern is with his top end speed and separation. I think he has one of the highest floors amongst draft WRs though.

I'm waiting until day 3 for a WR if I can help it.

Golden and Tre Harris are the only 2 I'd consider at 38 and they likely aren't falling at this point.

How about Bond... Isaiah Bond.

Yup, completely agree. I believe if they can upgrade the o line and with better playcalling, the receivers will be ok. There are bigger problems to solve.

Bech is going to end up overdrafted after this weekend.

You could be right. I don't think he'll be the fastest at the combine though so maybe that'll reset his value a bit.
