They could beat the Texans i think. Houston has been just as bad lately, that game would pretty much be a tossup to me. Gotta hope the chargers win today to get the 5 seed because the thought of kc getting to play Houston or pitt in rd 2 makes me wanna puke

Houston has been plagued with injuries. They are starting to get healthy. I think they beat Pittsburgh if they face them.

Very true. They won in 09 right the superbowl? For some reason I keep forgetting about that superbowl.. ? Pittsburgh just dies a remarkable job with thier own home grown talent over the years.. especially at WR. It helps keep the roster competitive year in, year out. Your right Lol it's pretty much a carbon copy season.. although Wilson has came back down to earth the last few games. Imagine Drake with Pickens on the outside.
If you look at how they draft WRs, they draft a lot of them. Early. They have a big number of misses at WR though. Overall, they do better than most teams, by hitting 40% of the time, while the rest of the NFL is around 33% at drafting WRs. If you want a really good WR, draft the guys picked to go in the top 10.

Why trade for him? He's not going to be a valuable property on the open market. The Steelers won't resign him. Only question is whether they are going to trade him this offseason, but if they do, no one will give up very much.
He’s averaged approximately 60 receptions during his first 3 years for almost 3,000 yards and has only missed 4 games. We don’t have anyone even close to that kind of contribution. Steelers arn’t going to dump him for one bad game and I’d rather take a know quantity for two 3rd rounders rather than see us blow another 2nd rounder first the likes of Thornton and Polk, the former who we already dumped snd the latter whose dump clock is already ticking loudly…

So next week the Steelers will continue their endless doom loop. Another year of just making the playoffs with an early exit and no playoff wins. As bad as the Pats are, I would rather be them than the Steelers. Steelers are doomed to stay in this doom loop. The Pats have at least hope of being a legitimate contender again with Maye. The Steelers will continue to never be great or awful and just a borderline playoff team that can’t win in the playoffs.

I know I am putting the cart before the horse, but does anyone think they can beat Baltimore or the Texans with their current skid?
Mediocrity also means you don’t get a shot at the obvious game changers in the draft.

This is why I am not as upset the Pats are one of the worst teams in the league. If they have the #1 pick, they have a real opportunity to turn it into the foundation of a many year contender with a trade along with Maye from last year.

Hopefully, a somewhat healthy Houston team at least has a shred of a chance against kc. Im just not sure where they are gonna be, it hasn’t looked good

The other thing is both years tomlin went to the super bowl he somehow avoided tom and Peyton. Its hard to imagine he’d ever get so lucky again to avoid mahomes/allen/etc even in the best case scenario that he lands with another hof qb and a roster like pitt had back then. Just seems like pitt is very very unlikely to ever move up from where they are under tomlin

One bad game?

He's been benched a few times and has been in Tomlin's doghouse. He has been openly criticized in the media (by a player's coach who never does that) for not trying.

It has been a very testy year for Pickens in a year in which the team has had a lot of success. The problems with Pickens have coincided with the 5 game losing streak.

Still better than any receiver on our team - by far….

That's not very hard to do. The question is, why would you devote 2 prime draft picks, a heap of money, and a lot of internal dissension and bad attitude to a guy that's not going to help you become a playoff team?

If I’m not mistaken the Steelers are in the playoffs and his 59 receptions, 900 yards in 14 games were more of a contribution than any Pats receivers since J. Edelman. We’ll keep an eye on him during the playoffs snd see if Tomlin dumps him in the off-season. Our last 2 prime 3rd picks were Polk and Mapu - wonder if Tomlin would take both in a trade….

Titans wearing the Houston oilers throwback, absolutely love those. Unfortunately though it doesn’t look like they have any chance to win today nor does nyg we may be dropping to #4

panthers D must be awful

Mike Evans ties Rice. Love that guy wish there was a way to bring him here

Bryce Young having a nice comeback after being benched earlier in the season. Playing better than Stroud now.

Jeta are the Jets
