I do not see how Kraft's confidence in Mayo can be maintained
I like the idea of bringing Gruden in as HC
The Patriots have been among the worst in separation for WR's and TE's since 2019, so this is nothing new. What bothers me is that this is a league where the rule changes have allowed medicore QB's and skill players to put up points. Not to mention the league wide talent continues to get worse each season. But even with the lack of talent they have on offense, they still should be able to find a way to put up more points than they have.Until he has time to throw and receivers that get separation
The mistakes I agree with you
That comes with maturity
If it doesn’t then he will be called out
Ross you surprised??Mayo’s presser didn’t contain any “gaffes” but it wasn’t great either. Kind of a Belichickian one where he mostly just shut up and didn’t really say anything. But also didn’t seem to know what he was talking about either. One reporter asked him what went wrong/what the design was for the fumbled pitch play, he said “I would have to go watch the film.” Why do you need to watch the film? Don’t you know what play was called?
is he saying he wanted to bench him but AVP didn’t?One reporter asked why Mayo told the network crew before the game that Gibson would “absolutely” start, due to Stevenson’s fumbles, but then didn’t do it.
Mayo said “coach’s decision”.
Mike Reiss asked for more clarity and asked him what changed because he was emphatic about it so something must have changed between the interview and the game.
Mayo said “I understand, it was a coach’s decision”.
Gibson hears he's starting then next minute he's on the bench for the first snapOne reporter asked why Mayo told the network crew before the game that Gibson would “absolutely” start, due to Stevenson’s fumbles, but then didn’t do it.

That’s the only way I can read itAny more smoke about mayo after this game?
is he saying he wanted to bench him but AVP didn’t?
Year 3 once he’s had 2 years of competent coaching.
Won’t see it unless Mayo gets fired after this seasonWe may never see that.
Go ahead Bob!A HC who needs training wheels is not HC material.
“That’s all, Polk(s)!”I like Slow Polk and Faker
From a Boot Licker HC who can't Coach. One reporter asked why Mayo told the network crew before the game that Gibson would “absolutely” start, due to Stevenson’s fumbles, but then didn’t do it.
