These are from four different places. I'm sure there are plenty who agree with you. My views are my own and I'm basing them off of MY watching him. You're free to disagree.

  • Inconsistent throwing motion which hampers accuracy, timing, and power. Lacks proper lower body engagement, resulting in reduced throw power and accuracy, especially on sideline passes.
  • Faces issues connecting his throwing motion with his legs, leading to inconsistent ball placement and capped arm strength.
  • When Daniels struggles with his accuracy, it often comes within 15 yards and in. The majority of his misses in this range are because he simply does not finish on his throws, which either leaves it short or behind the intended target.
  • On timing routes like comebacks and curls, Daniels has a tendency to be a tick late by taking an extra hitch. This results in what should be an easy completion turning into either a contested catch or an incompletion.

Jayden Daniels’ main weakness is his arm strength. He has great motion, touch, and accuracy, yet he fails to deliver the ball with zip and is especially unrefined on throws against his body and outside the numbers. This affects his deep ball accuracy as there are too many passes that he throws a little behind the runner. His anticipation makes up for a lot of his arm deficiency, but with the tighter windows in the NFL, this is assuredly something he will need to adjust.
  • Moderate velocity
  • '
  • Absolutely no contact balance
  • Inconsistent release sporadically leads to horrendous wobblers
  • Has “on” and “off” days regarding ball placement

Who are they? There are a million sites talking draft, knowing who it is, and when it was written is critical to knowing whether or not they are credible. This is why I stick to a few analysts, like Renner and Jeremiah, who are very credible draft analysts.

A bit better than most guys with similar traits, but even still, Steve is spot on here lol..

Jeremiah who was extremely high on Fields and though Bryce Young was a 'generational talent'. Ok, well, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. And frankly, the NFL isn't over burdened with Super Geniuses.

He's a fine athlete. No one disputes that. But I'm certainly not the only one who's commented on his arm.

I’m not seeing the criticisms of his arm strength, and I have looked at a number of scouting reports on him. The concern that I have seen the most has to do with throwing over the middle, and ball placement on those throws: And if that’s accurate then that is something that he will have to fix to be successful in the pro’s especially when it’s combined with seeing everything you need to see when making those throws. But I expect there to be areas that every young QB is going to have to work on. When Josh Allen came out his accuracy was atrocious, but with hard work and good coaching he improved that dramatically. Same went for Lamar Jackson, and he’s won two MVP Aawards.

Regardless of who they take there is going to be a learning curve, and one thing I found out looking at more scouting reports was the Daniels also won the Johnny Unitas Award, which is for football , academic and leadership achievements. Which imo is a big deal because you want those qualities in your QB, as you want them to lead your team, and I didn’t know anything about these QB’s character.

Even Brady sat a year and took him a while to get good then great, I hope no one's expecting the next QB to step and be great right off the bat.

JJ turned 21 a month ago. This is the biggest "nothing" I've heard in years. Kid is 6'3 he won't have any problem adding 15lbs of good weight. I have no idea why people are bringing this up for McCarthy. He doesn't have a history of running face first into defenders, is young and has a frame to handle 220 np.

Maybe I'm missing something but what exactly is the point of this. I'm genuinely asking bc I've been doing this for 10+ years and am not concerned in the least by this specific fact.
BGC, I see a lot of Zach Wilson in McCarthy. Has a great arm, can beat you with his legs. Can make all the throws. I think Zach Wilson was the better college QB, he didn’t have the talent McCarthy had around him (Puca Nacua was a freshman I believe).

That being said, I think McCarthy was definitely more clutch than Wilson his last year in college. I had no confidence in him vs Alabama, when they were down late and had to come back to tie the game to go to OT. He proved me wrong. And he was good in the championship game when he needed to be, was clutch when the time came, though the run game and defense won the game for Michigan.

McCarthy had some things I really like. He’s very young, so he’s far from a finished product (can sit for a year). And I think he’s mentally tough. And the aforementioned physical skills.

If the Pats went with Harrison Jr. at #3, I would love to get McCarthy at #34, though I doubt he’d be available at #34, the Pats would have to trade up to get him.

Most mocks have McCarthy drafted in the top 20.

Although I’d like a QB with the #3 pick, I absolutely HATE that we’ll likely have to choose between a QB and MHJ.

This draft is so deep at receiver..I’d love Pearsall and McConkey and a FA/trade like Pittman, Ridley, Aiyuk or Lockett.

Then make a small trade down and still get your QB.

At the very least a trade to #4 with Arizona so that they can take MJH should be a no-brainer.

Then, depending on who you are targeting, maybe another trade down to #6 with the Giants if Maye and McCarthy are still there.

Of course, if you rate both Maye and McCarthy about the same it may be better to pick at #4, since the Giants would go QB and another team may try to move to #5 and scoop you for the other.

If you can pick up a high pick (a #2) and still get Maye or McCarthy from your #3 overall, that is a win.
