Last year his stats sucked but previous year were good. Have not seen any tape so just talking crap.

Knew there was zero chance Kraft would allow us to pass on a QB at 3rd.

Again, it boils down to a simple fact:

They had a 100% chance of being able to choose two of McCarthy, Maye, and Daniels.

If they trade down, they'd be going YOLO, with no guarantees at all. [I remember saying a few years back that replacing Brady without a top-10 pick was going to be an interesting proposition.]

I'm quite pleased with Maye's upside. I really liked hearing about his background being the youngest kid and having to battle with his brothers. The mentorship relationship with Cam Newton. I really wish him the best of luck here!

Plunkett went with the Raiders.

Eason was a rotation QB.

Drew was probably the best of the first rounders.

Me too. I simply don’t believe in McCarthy and if he does pan out great for whoever takes him. But I don’t want the Pats passing up on a high ceiling player for him. If Maye busts so be it.

Needs development, but his college team and coaching staff were crap and he looked like King Kong.

Sit him behind Brissett, who is the perfect teacher to for ball protection and smart decisions.
