Robinson said he's played snaps at LT, and also practiced snaps at center. Sounds like another versatile player.

He was coming off knee surgery that happened after the postseason because he played in the Super Bowl. It usually takes a full year to get back to full strength.

The point is he's already paid, they entered this draft needing a QB, LT and outside X receiver... they wound up with a QB, no left tackle, two possession receivers and a guard who shouldn't make this roster if everyone else is healthy. Color me unimpressed...

At the very least it looks like this regime is making the effort to make sure what happened to Mac doesn’t happen to Maye. You may not like the players but the attempt to help the offense is there.

I don't think anyone actually thinks the Patriots did anything to convince us on April 27th that the offense is gonna be any good.

Fine by me, grab some blue chip prospects, mail in another season, have another top 5 pick and do it all over again.

Jacoby alone gives us 4 more wins than last year. That's how bad it was.

I would be fine with this, if the Patriots were taking Best Player Available at every spot. They objectively did not do that.

They drafted for need clearly. I understand it due to how bad of shape Bill left this offense personnel wise.

If it had been in the 7th round, I wouldn't complain either. But it wasn't. And that's the problem. Depth Concerns at CB and Safety, There is no way OG should have been on the RADAR. And certainly not a Conversion project.

If Strange injury is a concern and if Onwenwu stays at tackle then I don't agree with your take.

They'll have this summer to prove they're better. The QB is by default. The rest seem like people who are already here.

Wallace is probably starting and expecting a 4th rounder to start year 1 seems unfair way to analyze the pick (I suppose the same can be said of 3rd rounders too but Wallace doesn't have much in front of him to beat out).

Jonathon Jones is still a very good starting corner.

For some WRs. J Jones is short and not very strong. Not a good press corner against taller, stronger WRs. We need a press corner across from Gonzales.

Watched him a bunch - he was really good for UCF. Had 52 catches for 1,139 yards and 7 touchdowns. And did it against pretty good competition in some of those games.

Baker had 8 drops in 2022 and 6 drops in 2023.

8 drops on 100 targets. (8%)
6 drops on 84 targets. (7.1%)

People on here screech about Receivers having butter fingers if they drop a couple a year.

Well the blueprint X for the E-P was Brandon No YAC Lloyd.
Solid, dependable, if you needed 6 yards, he'd get you exactly 6.

We don't run the E-P anymore, so.

Brandon Lloyd was one of the most underrated WRs we've ever had. He was very productive. I think Brady liked him a lot. More than a #2 receiver; more like in between a #1 and a #2

"SUMMARY: A two-year starter at UCF, Baker was used across the formation in head coach Gus Malzahn’s up-tempo spread attack (72.9 percent of his 2023 snaps came outside, 27.1 percent inside). After he struggled to see offensive snaps in his two seasons at Alabama, he transferred to UCF and led the team in receiving in 2023, ranking No. 2 in the FBS in yards per catch (21.9). Baker is a good-sized athlete with explosive flashes to create on YAC-designed plays (tunnels, swing screens,etc.) or win deep (his 21 catches of 20-plus yards in 2023 ranks fourth best in the draft class, behind Nabers, Odunze and Malik Washington). He can make some wild catches with his body control and length, but the drops and inconsistencies at the catch point can be maddening. Overall, Baker is a loose-striding athlete with ball-tracking skills, although his tape is full of inefficiencies and question marks that didn’t allow him to consistently showcase his talent. He projects as a developmental Z receiver with starting upside."

Again, he's a fourth-round pick. We'll see if drops are an issue, but so far Wolf's been targeting aggressive guys who attack the ball and make plays. Definitely not a bad thing.

Should have addressed them before the 3rd and 4th Rd like free agency maybe but that doesn't mean we shouldn't add depth and hope 1 can start and fill some of the need.

What the Patriots did in the 2021 offseason was to help out Mac, he sucked anyway.

We need better than just an attempt and a fail.

They better pray Maye is next level QB, otherwise we'll see a whole new regime in a couple years.
