Post your predictions here for Week 6, New England Patriots vs Houston Texans

This contest is open to everyone, it's both a weekly and a season-long contest. Stakes are bragging rights.

*********** PLEASE NOTE THE SLIGHT CHANGE FOR THIS SEASON *********

******** Above the reply box is now an area to make your score prediction: ************

Here's an example of what it looks like:

You just slide the red markers and select your score, and then post your reply with your prediction and any additional comments in this thread so we can keep it the same way it always has been, with the exception of having you pick your score. This allows either me or @alamo to update the results much faster, ie: I've been posting the results within a day or two after the game

You will also want to drop a comment with your prediction as well for the sake of keeping the spirit of this contest intact as that's how @alamo has always done it. The scrollbars are just to make it easier for it to be tallied.

Getting back to the rules, as a one-time allowance for computer problems, forgetfulness, or whatever, one week can be missed and will be assigned that week's average score.

SCORING:

Your score is the COMBINED deviation of your predicted score for the Pats and opponents REGARDLESS OF DIRECTION.
For example, if you predict Patriots 31 Texans 23 your score is how many points off of 31 the Pats are (over or under does not matter) PLUS how many points off of 23 the Texans are (over or under again does not matter). Game winner does not matter. Lowest score wins.

You may change your prediction at any time before kickoff, which the window will close at that time and your selection will stand. Please keep this thread to predictions only (after you make the pick), no back-and-forth discussion of the game. A short comment explaining your pick is OK and encouraged after you've made your selection.

Good Luck!

Patriots 23
Houston 20

I think if Maye starts, they score some points this week.

Gonna hold on making my pick to see if The Kid starts.

Me too but I don't think he will be. Not a smart place to start him.
Gotta go sometime. I guess I am on board with if they suck horribly with Brissett, might as well get him in there and let the schooling begin. They can't play much worse than they did last Sunday.

Mind you I am not married to the position. Not a hill I want to defend much. more like a shrug and a "sure ok whatever".

If Brisset goes:
Hou 27
Pats 10

If Maye debuts I'll change it to:
Hou 27
Pats 20

Going 27-17 Hou. I think Maye waits until after this game to begin his hopefully long career as a starter.

If I hear for sure Maye is starting may change the score.

Oh
Texans 22
Pats 13

First time I have ever picked against the Pats, but Brisset and van Pelt aren't up to the job.

If the Texans don't take the Pats seriously then the Pats have a chance to kick a few FG's.

42% QB Pressure rate by the Texans will make it easy for the Pats to keep Maye on the sideline. Run Forres....I mean, Run Jacoby Run

Texans 27
Pats 16

But I wouldn't be surprised to see him put up a 40 burger.

Drake's patriots 23
Texans 21

A game of a great second year QB and a rookie QB making his start as Ryan's doesn't really know what to expect from maye day he moves the offense and energizes.. throws polk open on a TD to win the game.
