Game Day Thread 2023 WEEK 4 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: NE @ DAL

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

So how about that 5th year option? Someone want to start a thread with a poll? Interesting seeing support for it in this thread after this abortion of a performance today.

I really was pulling for Mac, I liked what he did last week.

But what I saw in the Dolphins game prepared me for this. He's scared back there, he doesn't see well, he throws off his back foot. Very bad habits. Just because he cured them for one week last week doesn't mean he wasn't going to revert to form like he did today.

This is him; last week was the aberration.

I vote NO. Even if you go with a journeyman it will be better

So has the "I hate mac" club being gloating like crazy today?

I mean they were trying so hard when it wasn't on him. But today must be their Super Bowl!

So… BB needs to go?

I have said from day one that this team needs to show that they are improving on last year and working towards becoming a contender again. I don’t see it. Unless they turn it around, Belichick needs to go. I have no desire to be a mid tier team for the next 3-4 years while Belichick chases Shula’s record.

Belichick has had plenty of opportunities to acquire talent. He has refused to. Even when he goes on a spending spree, he rather overspend for mid tier talent than top tier talent.

No matter what you think about Mac Jones. Belichick has failed this team.
BBs fault.

We were bound to get there.

What Mac needs (elite talent around him) doesn’t jive with Bills idea of offensive team building. Bill needs a QB who makes those around him better.

I fall into the same trap too. Mac doesn't cost them the game or put them in a hole so he played "good".

Problem is HC is an awful talent evaluator and team builder
This is not true, it is just that he needs to read the room on modern NFL. He is trying to do something that he does not select the right players.

On a positive note, only 6 more weeks till the bye.

Feel like an idiot for only predicting a 28-17 Dallas win

The main reason Kraft won't fire Bill unless he has absolutely no option and it bottoms out is because he risks looking like the biggest moron in NFL history if Bill goes somewhere with a quarterback (like the Chargers) and wins after letting Brady leave and do the same.

It has nothing to do with the on field product of the Patriots, it's about protecting his own legacy.

Kraft would take a massively hit if Belichick won somewhere else, plus everyone blames Bill for being cheap what if it's just Kraft?

He won't have that protection anymore.
