I am not sold on Tua or any other Alabama QB.

He always starts off hot and he always burns out as the season unfolds. The Pats D will do a much better job slowing down the Miami passing offense.

Tua and Hurts are light years ahead of Mac ...

I really hope we start the game clean. I am worried about our safeties in this game. Communication is going to be key. Our offense can't have a crap quarter like it did vs Philly. The Miami offense loves to front run.

It might appear that way but really, the major difference between those two and Mac is that they're on teams that prioritize the WR position. (And Hurts can run). Put Hill or Brown on the Pats and you'd be singing a different tune about Mac.

LOL.. IMO he was a fake # 1 when he was here.. great ball hawk. But never rose to the challenge in big moments against teams #1s.

Hurts was Almost traded before the Titans GM blunder landing him AJ brown.

Tua was benched at times prior to getting those 2 burners on the Outside.

Mac was given Patricia and judge last season... give Mac Higgins, chase, hill Brown, Diggs, Waddle.. he'll put up numbers too!

That's ridiculous. Come on, seriously? Did Hurts look "light years" ahead of Mac? Hurts literally looked very average in week 1. Tua is up and down, and will be shown to have a few duds this season (if he makes it through a whole season) - and one dud might be this week.

I don't get the Mac hate?! Can't football fans accept that if a guy isn't the GOAT, he can still be a very serviceable QB and improve to the point of leading a team to wins. Can Mac help lead the Pats to wins? He's done it. Not consistently, but the team has been nothing but inconsistent across the board for the last 4 years. Let's give this season a chance. And the best chance it has is with Mac at QB.

this was the urban meyer season with 3-14 record. I don't know if that's quit the accomplishment if the defense also gets 3 Int.

He can be serviceable and has shown that. I think what a lot of people including myself are wondering is if he can be the Franchise. Not even elite just very good would be fine. He's been kinda mid overall, but hopefully he takes that next step this season with a better playcaller

I dont know about that. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but he hs a rep here. Others agree with me.

Saw this video of Tua and Hill online. A couple of things here:

- No wonder why Hill had over 200 yards. Could the over the top safety be more out of position to provide help on Hill? No way do the Pats allow a back up CB alone on an island on Hill especially when they only rush three defenders.
- This shows what a true #1 can do. That ball hangs up there for a while. Hill had to reach out a bit for it. This was too easy. But it shows that Tua doesn't have a great arm, but with a great WR, it will look otherwise. Mac was throwing bombs in this scenario in college.
- What are they doing putting a second year back up CB one and one on Hill anyway?
- The Chargers literally had four guys covering over the center point of the field ten yards back on 3rd and 10 to cover one guy. The point of dropping eight people back on 3rd and ten is to make sure more than one receiver is getting double coverage.

But if this is how the Chargers played the Dolphins all game, no wonder Tua got over 400 yards and Hill got over 200 yards and two TDs. It was a great play by Tua and Hill, but it was also some god-awful defense.
