Last year - Hill's stats in the 2 games vs. Pats.
- 8/94/1
- 4/55/0 (Thompson/Bridgwater at QB)

Even so, I don't think we let Hill torch us like the Chargers did. I expect a much better pass rush than the Chargers gave.
If we can make Tua uncomfortable in the first drive, we'll have a great chance.

Tua leads the best offense in the league. Gotta run the ball and limit possessions.
McDaniel has them playing better this season with more confidence.

This is an interesting thing to bring up, considering his actual passing numbers against the Pats haven't been overwhelming (even though his win-loss is perfect), and I'm not sure the Patriots usage of single-high coverage in the past is all that relevant now that McCourty is gone.

Tua made a lot of very high degree of difficulty throws against the Chargers. They got pressure on him. The DBs gave decent coverage. This is like a college basketball team that shoots 65% in a game, and everyone thinks they're fantastic. The opposing team played solid defense, but everything went in that night. They can't do it again the next game because it's almost impossible.

As for Tyreek's first game last year, remember they sent him out of the backfield and in the slot, and rarely sent him downfield. He gained all his yards that way. They exploited us the way the Bills did with McKenzie the prior year. But things have changed on the Patriot defense. It's not Bentley, Bryant and McCourty with those short responsibilities anymore.

Im suprised the chargers struggled so much, last year they shut down this offense. As crap of a hc and decision maker as staley is, he usually comes up with much better plans defensively
It was still a close game.

SD scored on 6 drives.

It sucks they have both Hill and Waddle.. both extremely explosive players

Wonder if bracketing Hill could work, like we did against Tony Gonzalez back in the day.. just put 2 defenders on him at the line and don't let him go beyond 5 yards

if he gets even a half step on one of the defenders tho, its either commit holding or give up a TD

Needs more context before we start panicking and changing schemes.

Holding Tua to 270yds and a TD and 20 points in MIA last year was fine and I expect them to do better this year.

Game should be close and will come down to whether the Pats turn the ball over or not. They are not built to overcome turnovers. Pats will be able to run the ball as usual on the Dolphins. Bill will find a way to limit the Dolphins all or nothing passing plays. The Pats pass rush will put Tua on his ass a few times.

Pats will wear better uniforms for primetime. I don't understand how anyone could like their blueberry pajama's.

Yes, and definitely hit him extremely hard at the line of scrimmage within the first 5 yards!

Wynn would still be significant upgrade to what currently passes as OL in NE. Also based on week 1 btw.

Still, he can only hope not to cope with the Quiet Assassin:

All it took was week 1 for White to play himself out of BBs price range : ) against top OL no less

-.-

He was very bad last year. Clearly we preferred Anderson and Reiff over him.

Bro, I think you would care and so would a lot of us

I would care that we lost, but if we lose by playing mistake free and punting all day...it'll be a statistical anomaly, IMO.

Here's a video preview for the Patriots vs Dolphins this week. It's about 6 minutes long and put out by the NFL;

I am not sold on Tua or any other Alabama QB.

He always starts off hot and he always burns out as the season unfolds. The Pats D will do a much better job slowing down the Miami passing offense.
