Mac being designated as the inactive/emergency 3rd QB behind a guy who's only been here for 2 weeks is extremely awkward. Feels personal. I don't know how else to take it. He's sucked ass all year but I don't know how Rourke could have a firm grasp on the offense already.
That would make sense. Per Reiss this morning:

Agreed. I think Slater, despite ‘only being a ST’, has been an invaluable player on / off the field. There is a lot to like about a guy who rarely misses games, hustles on every play, is a steadying influence in the locker, a dude who others seem to genuinely respect and can tow the party line of selflessness.
I was thinking about this today, if this team had hope, was showing improvements from last year, even something that was building I think this is an entirely different story. The disfunction that’s come to light, mismanagement, and really no start of a foundation…change is required.
