they're not good enough in the front 7 to make up for scrubby earthwind moreland dbs. i think we may be forgetting who the dl and lbs were when the pats great ds won sbs. they are not playing base 3-4 anymore either. they spend most of their time in dime/nickel. so scrubby dbs hurt this d more and they then have less lb depth also.
So, push through the present wackiness into the realm of Higher Wackiness? It's worth a try. William Blake, in "The Proverbs of Hell": "If the fool would persist in his folly he would become wise."
Am I crazy or did Pittman score on a TD on that first drive (marked short)? I thought he crossed line in real time and expected challenge. On replay from side view it looks like it should have been a TD.
