So disappointed for the Lions to choke like that. Ya, Dan will have to learn to coach a bit more with head than heart in the playoffs.

Oh well, let's see if the NF'goode'L let's the 49ers beat their beloved crown prince. I can't stand watching Patty & Travis hold trophies.
There’s no NFL conspiracy narrative; Goodell isn’t pulling the strings to favor Mahomes just as he didn’t with Brady as many Pats haters convinced themselves of. Don’t become a hater; there’s zero reason for Pats fans to be that way. We have the most successful franchise in NFL history. No team has ever had a 20 year run like the Pats.

The Chiefs win because they have a clutch, generational talent at QB and very good supporting cast and coach. I wish that weren’t the case but it’s the truth.

Here’s to a great future for our Pats and to a great SB in 2 weeks.

Chiefs were bailed out by at least at least 2 clearly obvious DPI they got away with.

They lost about 90 minutes ago.

All part of the script.
So you’re convinced that Campbell was somehow paid off by the league to intentionally not go for those FGs?

Did the NFL pay off the Lions WR to drop that 4th down pass? Did the league pay of Goff to underthrow the ball on the other 4th down failure?

Where was the game rigged exactly?

The refs didn’t bail out KC. The only DPI that wasn’t obvious was the one on Van Noy. The others were blatant and obvious.

The Ravens lost because their offense was a sh!tshow and they’re a team that lacks discipline and composure. The refs weren’t to blame. Don’t invent a narrative based on your hatred of the Chiefs.

I don't even see a reason to hate the Chiefs they were kind enough to lose to us before they started their run. I mean I'm not rooting for them but I like Mahomes and even as cringe as he is I like Kelce too. They are impressive.

Yeah you have to tip your cap to them. The Chiefs will enter into the dynasty conversation if they win in 2 weeks.

That will also probably be enough to move Mahomes ahead of Montana into 2nd place in the GOAT conversation given the stats that he has put up so far in his career.

And we all know what that means…we’re gonna be hearing Brady/Mahomes debates for years if not decades. Get used to it…

People are kidding themselves if they don’t think the NFL wanted to see KC and the swifties in the SB.

Two totally different eras. Apples and oranges. Montana cleans up if he plays in today’s league.

Mahomes is more in Rodgers category. I remember when Rodgers was being called the goat and the mj of the nfl.

Yes they probably did BUT Ravens screwed their own pooch with horrible game plan, penalties, lack of self control, poor qb play, impatience and lack of discipline. NFL probbaly preferred KC but Ravens have only themselves to blame.

Campbell with his amateur hour coaching decisions getting greedy with all the momentum on his side up 24-10 in the 3rd. Take the 3 points and you're up 27-10 kicking off to the 49ers. Reynolds drops it on 4th down and is seen laughing on the sidelines soon after. He dropped another 3rd down pass on another drive. That was pretty glaring to see and something you wouldn't see out of a BB coached team when the Pats were competing. Now the 9ers have life with good field position and take it for a TD. 10 point swing. Then Gibbs fumbles and the 9ers get another TD. Lions get another chance to take the lead, but go for it again. They didn't get it. 9ers end up getting a 10 point lead. Amazing.

Spags is getting another shot at HC soon. He ***** slapped the Dolphins and Ravens offense. For the posters still claiming for Lamar - he ain't the guy and is still a limited passer.

Don't be silly Mahomes has left Rodgers in the dust. Truth is Rodgers was never actually in Rodgers category.

Aaron Rodgers turned out to be the Brett Favre of his era. Favre had the same attention from the media always wanting him to win, but had a ton of playoff failures with the media providing excuses - until he lost to Tom Brady/Tampa Bay. Media turned on him when he choked against the 49ers at home in 2021.

Rodgers is nowhere close to the same universe as Mahomes.

I agree, and Montana and Bradshaw would totally dominate today with how qbs are handled with kid gloves and wrapped in protective bubbles. Montana/Bradshaw had to face violent hits without roughing the passer penalties and the WRs could get mugged and beaten up without any calls.
Even TB12 would not have fared nearly as well in 70's and 80's

Completely different passing game today.

You don’t think Andy Reid isn’t as successful with a prime Rodgers as he is with Mahomes? I want to at least see Mahomes without kelce before I move him ahead of Rodgers. Kelce is always bailing him out on 3rd downs.

Maybe Montana cleans up in today’s era, maybe he doesn’t. We can only speculate on these things, we’ll never actually know.

Mahomes is well beyond Rodgers already. If he wins next week, he’ll pass Montana in most peoples’ eyes, if he hasn’t already.

That’s recency bias. Montana had way tougher defenses to play against where d was allowed.

Mahomes receivers get free releases then cannot be touched running all over the field in a league with watered down qb play. He has a path of least resistance compared to Montana. Not to mention the favorable ref calls.

I do miss defenses of the past. Offenses had to pick the right times to pass or the QB would get pummeled.

It’s not recency bias with me. I saw Montana’s whole career and all of Mahome’s so far.

While I agree with you that the rules in place today definitely favor the offense; today’s defensive schemes are much more complex then they ever were in the 80s/early 90s when Montana played.

I stand by my comment that Mahomes moves ahead of Montana in the GOAT QB discussion…if he wins in 2 weeks.
