Money definitely talks but people really really overlook the fact that Cam is widely loved by NFL players.
I dont see how Cam+another big time QB would work. A rookie on the other hand is a dream scenario.
We shall see.
Let’s slow down a little bit. I’m happy about the signings, but...We don't need a "WR1"
Henry and Smith will be as effective as a Randy Moss type, just in an entirely different way. Same way Gronk and Hernandez were dominant with a good slot receiver.
Good thing thats not what i said. You figure Hunter Henry chose the corpse of Cam Newton over playing with Herbert, and that's why he'll be playing for New England?
But do you prefer Henry+Jonnu or Waller ? Same question for the other two. Are they more dangerous w these two TEs or one of the elite ?Let’s slow down a little bit. I’m happy about the signings, but...
Henry and jonnu are not close to gronk Hernandez level. They were the top 2 TEs on the market, but they’re still tier 2 TEs- not at kelce/Waller/kittle level. Henry is not that type of dominant matchup nightmare- but he’s a good player.
I’m happy we got them, but we didn’t just got Kittle and Waller for example.
Fyi, coming from experience... this is not the way to enjoy winning the offseason.Let’s slow down a little bit. I’m happy about the signings, but...

I might end up totally wrong but this sounds more like an agent planting some information with Breer to push the prices up.
Fournette looked very good late in the year and in the playoffs for Tampa. He can run and catch. He would be great rotating with Harris.Actually first rumours before FA started were pats are in the big RB market. And the way things are getting constructed it would actually be a logical move. As always (except last yr for obvious reasons) this is January roster building.

Fournette makes catching the football look very difficult.Fournette looked very good late in the year and in the playoffs for Tampa. He can run and catch. He would be great rotating with Harris.
Having said that - if he is gonna cause a bidding war, I’d rather make an offer to Lindsay in DEN.

I prefer Henry and jonnu, but that wasn’t the discussion. The discussion was whether we had TWO TEs like that, like Hernandez and gronk. Again, I like the signings. My point was that it wasn’t like we signed gronk and Hernandez level playersBut do you prefer Henry+Jonnu or Waller ? Same question for the other two. Ha, I’m very excited. Trying to remain rational, same as I have in the past when we’ve had boring free agencies.Fyi, coming from experience... this is not the way to enjoy winning the offseason.
Drink the Kool-aid man!
Deal with the sugar crash later.
Yeah, I think they’ll be really useful pieces that will take advantage of the right things in the passing game. Not game breaking matchup nightmares, but still. These two should find plenty of holes in the defense, given the Pats emerging running game and new WR's.
I'd suggest that the primary difference will be YAC, where G & H were other-worldly, and these guys will just be good.
One very particular poster has been absent from this thread or even the board. Actually maybe two. Maybe he is still upset about the mods locking his threads???I love how the same people complaining about Belichick's spending spree (to the Jets, for example) are the same ones who have been criticizing him for the lack of talent on this team...
Doesn't it take more than straight value to move into top 10? KC gave up two #1s + #2 to go 27 to 10, which is more than the value.patriots #1 and #2 picks total 1490 points
the #7 totals 1500
So, our first two picks plus a later swap of places might do it.
