Figured this could be a fun thread without judgement or arguing.

So go ahead and throw your best hand full of fecies of your choosing at the big board!

We can come back and see what stuck!

My bold prediction, written in chicken poop!

NE walks away from Thursday night with one of Jones/Fields or Lance.....AND Jimmy ****ing G. Without giving up more than one future first round pick (I think they do this without giving up a future first, but we all can't be the John Holmes of BOLD predictions.) The rest of the NFL world's heads explode and swear jars will be over flowing with nickels in homes of NFL fans across the country!

Ultimately bringing joy to countless Americans under 48" tall!

BB stays at 15, picks a defensive back or linebacker, the Jimmy G trade never materializes, we shift to debating QBs 6-8 and where they might go. I guess that's not so bold of me, to predict a total lack of exciting moves...

Edit... but at least we won't pick a safety!

Bold-move up into the top 10 for a qb

Or we trade down from 15 picking up an extra pick between 46 and 96. Zaven Collins r1 and we either trade for Jimmy or take Trask day 2.

I think if JG isnt traded for before or during the 1st round Bill will try to trade up for a QB or roll with Cam then draft the bpa
If he stays at 15.

First pick a db, possibly after a trade down
A qb is added but not till day 2... 2nd tier rookie and/or vet trade
We grab a tackle with one of the next picks in the mid round
Nobody’s happy

I can see BB trading down in the first to add an extra second rounder. Using a later first to select Zaven Collins (heir to Dont’a Hightower), and then using the two second round picks on Rondale Moore (heir to Julian Edelman) and Ifeatu Melifonwu (boundary corner depth who might make Joejuan Williams redundant).

I think some fans here would be happy with drafting Collins and Moore, and confused by the Melifonwu pick, he’ll be called a bust because he’s a DB taken in the second round with better players available. Even more confused by the fact that the Jimmy Garoppolo trade still hasn’t manifested itself and no rookie QB has been selected yet by the Pats.

Panic starts setting in with half the board when Kyle Trask, Davis Mills, and Kellen Mond come off the board before the Pats’ next pick at 96, while the other half insist the draft is going fine and the team will be fine and flame wars ensue. Other picks are made but not all picks are kept, some are traded into upgrades in Day 3 or future drafts. The Pats end up not drafting a QB, but prioritize K.J. Costello as an undrafted free agent. Pats fans are underwhelmed. The end.

(Sorry about that, I put far, far too much thought into it lol. Can’t wait for this draft to get started. As for what I’d want? A trade up for Justin Fields or Trey Lance and I’ll be happy. Or get Jaylen Waddle and trade for Garoppolo. Those are my happiest scenarios.)

Pats trade for Garoppolo, who signs a 4/80 contract.

They trade down, maybe twice, and take Paye/Phillips/Oweh with their first pick, then a LB, then an OL. They don't draft a receiver until Round 4.

There won't be any pursuit of QB in round 1( unfortunately). BB will bet on Garoppolo, stay with 15th pick and bolster the defense. His choice would be Parsons or Horn/Surtain.

I like trading down for an extra second and a first this year or next. Then taking Jimmy G with one of the 2nds.

Trade up and get a QB , use the rest of the picks to fill remaining holes in 2022 onwards.

Justin Fields, Trey Lance or Jimmy G. The Patriots can’t go into next season with cam and stidham on the roster. I am ok with drafting mond only to compliment fields or Lance

You draft Fields or Lance you don’t have to worry about picking a QB for the next 10 years. If fields develops into a franchise player, it allows you to invest in improving the rest of the team. Going year to year QB wise is how you become the Jets, Jaguars, Dolphins, Lions, Bengals, even the bills etc. Don’t do that.

But.....my take is a shallow one. I have not really looked in detail as to how many holes we will have in the next year or so. I just get the feeling , now is the time to take a chance on a rookie QB given the team that BB is building. I will not start playing Madden as with my approach I will probably end up as the Jets and pick in the top 3 for the next few years.......lol:rofl:

Good roster without a a good QB is like a fashionable and very expensive teddy bear but with no head. Try to buy if for kids and expect them to be happy.

This is a naive statement that is not supported by historical precedent. Both are incredibly talented but more likely than not one of them will be a bust, or at a minimum will not be a franchise QB.

Trading down a few spots to pick up a higher 1st round pick and a lower second rounder would give them the opportunity to pick up a LB or CB in the first, then in the early/mid second pick up a second level QB that might develop and then go WR.

This is predicated on JG being traded with a revamped contract and not a lot of draft capital used..
