We would’ve had to go 3rd plus an extra pick or a 2nd for Tate since phillys 3rd most likely would’ve been higher.

No, I'm not suggesting that the Pats sign Minter. Just noting that, after the trade deadline passed at 4pm, a few teams have cut a few players who may or may not be useful to the Pats in some capacity (ST, Psquad, positional depth).

To be fair it is a third rounder for half of the season as he is a UFA afterwards. Unless the Eagles already have an extension worked out with him they kinda overpaid imo.
