No kidding. The team went from 646 TEs to 3 in 15 minutes.

The roster has 4 more players on DEFENSE than on OFFENSE. So, there is a greater need to use the Practice Squad for OFFENSE.

Interesting that there are no players currently on Patriots 53-man roster who were not employed by the team over the summer or opening day.

The team added two outsiders - DT John "Pretty in Pink" Hughes, released and TE Greg Scruggs, IR. Two additions from suspension, three practice squad (Hamilton, Johnson, Grissom). The only late addition was Rowe, by my count, which happened before opening day. Three possible veterans await on PUP, and the potential of one more from IR.

Belichick earlier stated that he really liked the make-up of this team.

2015 4th round pick... 6'4" 310 Guard from ASU. 1st Team Pac 12 in 2014. 16 Games w/6 starts for Dolphins in 2015. Insurance for Tre Jackson?

Pats have now 3 2015 4rd guards. He was taken 3 picks after Tre by Miami (and some 20 before Mason) and shares the same measurables.

BOTTOM LINE
Douglas gets by with adequate length and plus athleticism, but his play demeanor will have to ramp up in order to make it as an NFL guard. Douglas flashes enough potential to excite teams looking for athletic traits, but his lack of functional power will be hard to overlook for others. Douglas could benefit from a glass-chewing mentor in the NFL.

Was he thinking of Dante there at the end ..
