I just wanted to make this thread before the game as the thought just occurred to me. This is a particularly special year for the Patriots due to everything that happened last year. However when looking more deeply this year has a chance to be one where the Pats get to take care of a lot of business and wrap a lot of loose ends up over the years.

#1 Beating Indy - After deflategate this became a chance make it clear the Patriots are just a better team than Indy and put it to bed as well as get a small measure of revenge. Mission accomplished

#2 Jets - Spygate still grinds my gears and the Jets tampered with the Patriots and got off with nothing. This year looked like the Jets were turning it around until the Patriots beat them and they have been in a tail spin ever since. Mission Accomplished

#3 Giants - The Patriots have had issues beating the Giants for years now. Going to their house and getting a win would help put a check mark in that box. Also If the Pats did go 19-0 beating the Giants at their house on the road to doing it would make it a little extra special IMO.

#4 Win in Denver - The Patriots tend to travel well but they have had a very tough time in Denver even under Brady. Winning in Denver would be something special and really show the Patriots can beat anyone anywhere and doing so against what is a flawed but good Denver team would give it extra meaning.

#5 Superbowl win - A SB win in this year would be fantastic. Though usually I brush it off I am sick and tired of the artistic talk. Winning a SB as the most observe and scrutinized team ever would make it the most legitimate SB that was ever won and give it extra weight over other victories (This is for the whole season and not just the game itself. Last years SB was just as carefully watched).

#6 19-0. 18-1 was the hardest thing I have ever gone through as a sports fans. To get 19-0 would make getting 18-1 worth it. It would be something no team has done before (The Dolphins only went 17-0) and the look on Goodell's face would be a thing of beauty as he hands the trophy over.

So this year in particular gives the Pats a chance to answer all questions against them. Not many teams get a chance to do so much spring cleaning in a single season.

1 2 & 3 now done!

If we take care of the Bills we can move forward to #4... Pats have had issues beating Denver in Denver. Time to get it done this year!

Please let us exorcise our demons, not exercise them. They're healthy enough already!

Have demons do yoga or pilates instead.

Demons to that Bikram hot yoga thing, right?

Yikes, sounds hazardous!

Nah, 2011 was the year. Had NE taken down the Giants, every playoff win would have been against teams that had knocked them out since 2005 with the exception of Indy.... and it would have been in their stadium after a 2-14 season.

It was absolutely perfect.

Well now i feel i need to keep the threat title the same or some of these jokes will lose context : /

Stuck between a rock and bad grammar.

stop talkin' about my granma...

We also exercised winning the 4th super bowl in 2015 at the place of the helmet catch.

With that Kearse catch to remind us, just before Butler drove a stake through the heart of that memory.

What's this about a "threat" in the title?

(I feel your pain, Bob, I've had a few lulu's myself!)
