I just want to know what he's done to earn Gronk/Graham money, he had one great season, and it wasn't even his most recent season, either.

Some teams really go out of their way to prove they don't care about winning.

Exactly, PM's first year took'm by surprise with D.Thomas, Moreno, Decker and J.Thomas was recipient of alot of all them bein key'd on. After his injury and PM comin down to earth last year bein injury or decline, J.Thomas will be a Jag on Jags.

Manning's gone after this year or next, Florida has no income tax, and Jacksonville's making some nice moves.

Toss in $9m, and that's not a bad deal, at all.

I hear ya Deus I see Jags makin strides there were some glimpses but its hard to see them bein relevant maybe in time.

Yards where down although he had 12 tds. If anything he still haa alot to prove. We will see how great he is or is he a product of a system.

I don't really think theres anything to see.

It takes a generational player to succeed as a pass catcher without at least a competent QB. (Larry Fitz, Andre Johnson, Randy Moss (though Cunningham was pretty decent))

Absolutely amazing deal for JT, if its true, but Jacksonville fans are in for a shock if they believe he is going to have even a 700 yard 8 TD season there without either a.) Bortles maturing very quickly, or b.) adding a supremely talented cast around him.

Reminds me of Decker on Jets. I know he was hurt with groin but Geno throwing to him is nothing like Manning and even healthy he would never put up numbers like he did in Denver but he scored with a Big pay day.

It all rides on Bortles.

I don't believe that. Their defense is atrocious and while showing promise (and being rookies), their receivers were not awe-inspiring, nor were their runningbacks.

They need a whole lot more than simply Bortles to step up.

Adding DeMarco Murray, solidifying the OL, and adding JT certainly help, but even with all of that, there are far more questions than answers. However, they do have at least one thing that players will want to play for them for, thats money to spend.

I don't know, Decker surprised me, he had a good season. It obviously wasn't a Manning-led season, but it was pretty top notch for a receiver with the Jets QB situation, I think Decker proved some doubters wrong last year.

He had 962 yards and 5 TDs on the leagues 32nd ranked passing offense. And this year, in theory, he'll be the #2 target again, playing with Marshall. That's not a bad spot for the Jets and Decker.

If Blackmon is rehabilitated and is reintegrated into their offense, they have (minus Shorts, who is a FA):

WR 1 - Justin Blackmon
WR 2 - Marquise Lee
WR 3 - Allen Hurns
TE 1 - Julius Thomas
TE 2 - Marcedes Lewis

Whilst not being otherworldly, that's a pretty decent group for Bortles to work with.

This is true and players will opt for a Big pay day where money takes presidence over winning. Like I said I don't see Jags bein relevant now maybe in time but Bortles will have play a Big part of their success and havin a bunch of high prices players doesn't mean they will gel as a team.

Yup and Geno was atrocious, Decker was his only go to guy (receiver) at that point and Rex set on ground & pound with no pound most of it was like garbage time, Jets were out of it but this year with B. Marshall makes it interesting for both Decker & Marshall be it all depends on Geno unless Jets start somebody else more Vet Like.

Wonder when we'll hear news on Revis? Tick Tock

Isn't Blackmon suspended indefinitely? I just don't see him playing football again.

Lewis is solid but in 9 seasons has topped 500 yards 3 times and 4 TDs once, Thomas has never played without Manning, and Lee/Hurns are entering a season notorius for slumps at their position (Allen Robinson too, who outperformed Lee, though I believe Lee was injured?).

I'm not arguing that it COULD be a decent group, but it is one of the LEAST proven groups in the entire NFL, and that is saying a lot, considering some of the receiving corps' out there. I would bet money on sub-mediocrity once again before I bet on a 6 or 7 win season with that group.

Ground Round has been closed for like 6 years

Blackmon was showing his potential when he got suspended. Sucks that he went to a lousy franchise.

That's what I thought. Without lookin it up, wasn't it Substance Abuse Weed or something?
