You must not watch much college football. Ingram is as big of a stud as advertised.

You must not watch Alabama, because he's playing around 20 other 1st rounders.

Stud? Yes.
Worth a Top 10 Pick? Absolutely Not.
No running back is unless they're an Adrian Peterson-like prospect. RB's are just so easy to come by these days.
Most Draftniks agree Ingram is a solid RB but not worth a Top 10 pick.
Ingram isnt worth a Top 10 pick.
No RB is unless it's AP, LT, CJ type of game changing talent.
Ingram is a solid back, but he's not an elite talent.
a short list of players I'd be looking at in FA next year if I were GM
RB - Michael Bush - big power back that never got to shine in Oakland. Good pass protector. Can grind out short yardage or break a big run. Would probably be good value, as he won't be getting a huge contract anywhere. With McFadden having somewhat of a breakout year, Bush wont be a priority in oakland.
I agree. We need a young power back, now. The Taylor/Morris era has been a miserable failure.
FB/RB - LeRon McClain - best FB in the league, can also play RB. Wont be staying in BMore since they have Rice and McGahee already.
I doubt the Murderers let him walk, but if they do, then I'd be first in line to sign him. But would Bill?
RB - Ahmad Bradshaw - seems like a good fit.
No thanks. Bad character, and this locker room cannot handle bad characters.
CB - Champ Bailey - He isnt the best CB in the league anymore, but he's still pretty damn good and would offer some much needed experience in our secondary.
He's no longer the best, but he's better than anybody we have.
CB - Ike Taylor - big physical CB. He'll probably re-sign with Pitts though.
Probably; but if he doesn't, then I'd be interested.
CB - Ellis Hobbs - he's better than Butler and Wilhite are right now, and he knows the system.
Bill never should've traded him in the first place.
WR - Vincent Jackson - if youre going to spend that Moss-type Money, I'd rather put it towards someone who is hungrier and younger. Hes gonna come back with a huge chip on his shoulder next year and he's great at catching the deep ball.
No thanks. He's one more incident away from a year-long suspension.
WR - Santana Moss - Obviously not on Randys level of stretching a defense, but he can go deep (unlike any of our current receivers except maybe Tate).
Maybe; but if I'm signing a FA WR, I'd rather sign one with more size than him.
that's pretty much it. The rest of our needs, I'd look for in the Draft considering we have 3 Picks that will be within the Top 36.
OLB types
Tamba Hali, KC
Chris Kelsay, Buffalo
Cliff Avril, Detroit
Manny Lawson, SF
Clearly the Patriots need to draft OLB's. However, they need two starters. It's not obvious anyone on the roster is suited to be a starter. Tabbing a free agent is important as well.
Cliff Avril's a UFA after only 3 years?

He is the best college back I've seen since AP. But with better vision. He will convert to the pro's nicely.
Ingram isn't nearly as fast or strong as AP.
He compares closer to Ray Rice and Jones-Drew.
He'll be a good back, but not worth a Top 10 pick. You can find a solid RB in the 3rd-4th rd these days.
Guys like AP and CJ are game breakers that defenses have to game plan against. I hate to break it to you, but Ingram just doesnt have that type of speed to make defenses focus on him in the NFL.
I'd be intrigued with Joseph Addai as well. There's a chance that Indy doesn't bring him back.
That's because he was so good the Colts saw the need to draft Donald Brown in the first round.
Neither does Arian Foster and look what he's doing to defenses in a past first offense.
