2010 wide receivers to start the year

Why can't we do both?

We should draft at least one WR;
sign 1 or 2 more UDFAs;
and sign 1 or 2 vet FAs.

That oughta cover it.

This is exactly what they should do in case one or more is a dud.

Last year both Galloway and Lewis didn't make the grade.

Jenkins, Moore, and Ortiz from the practice squad are merely warm bodies.

Guys in the draft who will be possibly available in the 2nd round or later.

Golden Tate: Could be taken in the late first, early second round. I think we go defense on our first two picks, but if there is no one that BB likes there. Has outstanding speed, return ability, makes huge plays in the passing game and is just a flat out burner. The Patriots usually like these guys. I doubt it, but we will see.

Damien Williams: First round talent. Some mocks have him sliding into the 2nd round, so I will put him in here. Has good speed and is another playmaking type. I see there at 22, but us not taking him for more pressing needs. Wouldn't be bad as our 2nd pick of the 2nd round if somehow he were to fall there.

Brandon Lafell: Always liked him. Comes from a great football program at LSU, has played in big games, good playmaker, and good speed and is a very smart player. Likely to be taken somewhere in the mid 2nd round. Be a good pick here.

Mike Williams: Has some character issues, but would be a great I mean great value in the 4th round. Before he left the Syracuse program, he was 2nd in the FBS in receptions and 3rd in receiving yards. He has outstanding in the high 4.3's and with his recent problems with the Orange is projected to drop to the 3rd to 4th round area. If he is there in the 4th round, I would grab him without even thinking. He could be a good 3rd or 4th option next season and possibly more beyond with Moss possibly leaving after next season.

Marshawn Gilyard: I really don't like him that much. Though he has had good production, though I believe it is in the system he is in. He is produce of the offense there in Cincy. I wouldn't take him in the 2nd round, where he is projected to go.

Jordan Shipley: A very good slot receiver, who makes huge plays and would be GREAT in the slot for this team. He would also help in the return game and wouldn't be a bad value as 52nd overall pick. Would love to see him in a Patriots uniform.

Other guys I like in the later rounds

Trindon Holliday
Jacoby Ford
Freddy Barnes
Antonio Brown
