If Brady missed 3 games what are the odds the Pats go 3-1?
impossible to go 3-1 in 3 gamesMike Vick has been incredible and right now I can say it is a toss up between him and Brady for MVP. The main factor that swings my vote to Brady is the fact the in the 3 complete games Vick was out the Eagles went 2-1. One of the wins was against the 12-2 Falcons. If Brady missed 3 games what are the odds the Pats go 3-1?
What does 2008 have to do with 2010? Was the defense ranked near the bottom that year too? If this was the year Cassell took over they're a .500 team at bestimpossible to go 3-1 in 3 games
when brady missed a whole season though, cassell's starting record 10-5? (brady started game 1 and the starting qb gets credit for the w or l, regardless of time played in the game...therefore brady went 1-0 in 2008)
cassell actually went 3-1 and 4-1 a couple stretches that year
so NE proved it's not impossible to win without brady, but that's not to say he isn't the mvp, he is

you can say it, you just cannot prove it....
doesn't change the fact that brady is the 2010 mvp
but stop with the unprovable bull**** lol
Obviously you can't prove it. But it's highly likely. That 2008 team had a better defense, better veteran leadership on both sides of the ball, a better receiving corps, and a MUCH easier schedule than this year's Patriots team does.
Having said that, there is no doubt in my mind that Brady is the 2010 MVP. None whatsoever. Do I care as much as others that he wins it? Nope. But he IS the MVP.
I don't know if another poster has already pointed this out but since 1999 the League MVP has NOT won the Super Bowl. This includes 2007. Does this qualify as a curse (ala Madden)? I couldn't say.
I will say: give Vick the MVP and Brady the Lombardi.
Uh, you're conveniently leaving off all of Vick's rushing statistics. If you factor those in:Better Record (Best in NFL) (+ Better Strength of Victory)
More Passing TDs (+ Total TDs)
More Passing Yards (+ Total Yards)
Less INTs (+ 120 more attempts)
Higher Completion %
More Yards
Higher QB Rating
Where the hell is Vick better?
Uh, you're conveniently leaving off all of Vick's rushing statistics. If you factor those in:
Total yards: Brady 3,589 to Vick 3,368
TD's: Brady 32, Vick 28.
INT's: Brady 4, Vick 5.
Yes, Brady leads. But it isn't quite as lopsided as you seem to think - especially considering that Vick accumulated his stats in 3 fewer games.
Bottom line is they are both having stellar seasons, and people in here need to relax. I cannot believe the conniptions we see when someone suggests that gee, maybe the Patriots aren't the best at everything.
