Maye #11 on NFL top 100 list

Maye is the flavor of the moment.

If he has a not so hot 2026 watch how fast the pundits ditch him for somebody new.
I agree.
Are you looking at last season's list? None of those guys are ahead of Maye on this one.
I came across this. Maybe they are ranking QB rooms and not necessarily who the best #1 is.

My bad

I guess the players thnk more highly of Drake than that dumbass Pete Prisco who ranked him 61. 61 WTF. Lay off the drugs Pete.

I guess rankings really don't matter.

I'd rather the defense carry a terrible QB to a SB than lose in the divisional round with the best QB.

SB wins for the team is the be all end all.

Belichick must’ve really pissed him off back in the day, he HATES the Pats.

Purdy, Dak, Love, Daniels (WTF!!!!) are ahead of Maye. If the Patriots offered Maye for any of those guys, would their GM's say no? Absolutely the hell not. Jmo.

So this list has to be based on guys who have been around longer. More pedigree. An explanation is needed on Daniels>Maye though. I don't think any team in the league takes him over Maye.

I think you have this wrong.

Seems that Drake is pretty well liked around the league and that helps too with these lists. McCorkle Jones not so much.
You mean to tell me kicking other players in the balls doesn’t make you popular with them?

Future is bright.

That's very Astronomical to not even be ranked the season prior to #11... But some told us Mahomes still top 5 at his position...

Agreed.. I'd even argue Tommy 2 chains could do just as much if not better if he was starting QB at niners..

They are year to year.
Kind of.
They are based on more than one year (The Mahomes example above), but they are heavily weighted on the past year, thus the huge jump for Maye who's career resume is extremely short.
If it was just last year, Maye would be higher.

Whether it is a popularity contest or solely based on last years performance, take it for face value he is well liked by his fellow players and deserves this honor.
With improvements on the line, addition of Gilliam, another year in McDaniels system and improved WR corps expect things to even be better this year.

No he's not. Everyone can see what he has and what he might very well become. He is going to be a stud for a very long time and the league and it's players know it. It took Josh Allen almost 4 years to start becoming an elite QB. Maye went to the SB with a subpar roster in year 2.

Thats not normal. Burrow had an elite offense when he went. Maye had elite nothing.

Brady struggled in year 2.

If he can have problems then so can Maye. Furthermore, this whole Dynasty 2.0 thing is farfetched.

This is interesting because the media was spreading the rumor that players around the NFL thought Maye was a fluke-feel good story.

Exactly. Maye is a top 3 QB and will be for many years to come. And Vrabel and Co. are doing exactly the right things for immediate and long term success. Last year's Super Bowl run was improbable and unexpected, but showed that they are a team on the rise. They are developing players for the long term and added players in free agency that should lead to a successful season this year despite the much tougher schedule. I'm expecting an AFCE title and a deep run in the playoffs. Should be a lot of fun.

Dunno about face of the NFL but it’s fun having this guy as our QB!

Now hopefully JJ likes him enough to come here. Yes I’m greedy. Lol

Re Burrow- elite weapons but not so much an elite OL and he lost his SB for mostly the same reasons as Maye did.

But yeah this is how great players will come here cause they want to play with him and hopefully win a ring.

These lists tend to be vague. Are we looking at entire career, or how they’re playing now…?

This list is specifically for 2025 play.

There isn't a team who employs a QB on this list who wouldn't male that deal now. Maye is the most valuable asset in the game right now.

In fact, I'd argue that 30 teams would swap their QB for Maye straight up in an instant if the opportunity came. Maybe Buffalo wouldn't.
