Seahawks got SB advice from source with conflict of interest

It doesn't matter if Brady told anyone on the Seahawks anything, the fact of the matter is that they were the better team, and the better team won that night.

No now they will say it was Tom and Macdonald is lying.
TB has been a weirdo and shady cloning aside he is pretty loyal to his friends find it hard he'd **** with Josh/Mike and Krafty Bob

I don’t recall any reports, beyond pure speculation by salty fanboys.
His link clearly said “some suggested he may have”

Fragile as glass fanbase.

The umbrage is completely reasonable, IMO. Brady publicly declares himself "a Patriot for life" at his HoF induction extravaganza and attends the unveiling of a statue in his honor. Then he turns around and lies about having "no dog in the fight" while sharing esoteric tells from his intimate knowledge of Josh McDaniels' offense with Seattle -- all with an eye toward Raiders fans embracing his HC endorsement.

What was the intel given to Macdonald, hey coach their left side of the offensive line can’t pass block.

MacDonald himself called the intel quite valuable.

I guess that folks will continue to be surprised by Brady.

You really think Brady would have no unique insights into the playcalling tendencies of the coordinator he worked with for over a decade? Hey, I won't change your mind, but just really think about how much better you'd play if you had a pretty good idea what play was coming.

It's basically Tom's offense. McDaniels learned everything from Tom - not the other way around.

With that said, it was pretty obvious the game plan was putting both Campbell and Wilson on the sled drill. The other thing the Seahawks players mentioned is that they saw a tell in the O-line when they were going to run and pass block. There's video online, but it's not that conclusive. However, Tom and QB's in general are pretty obvious when they are going to hand it off to RB's.

Doubt it was Brady. My understanding was Macdaniel meant the conflict of interest was on their side (i.e. intradivision with them), not a conflict of interest against the Patriots.

In the end, with the way the OL played, I don't think it made much difference. I hope it wouldn't be Tom, but it's a business at the end of the day.

I was trying to be funny, I guess not. He also said it wasn’t Brady.

What I don’t get is why is Macdonald saying anything at all.

Ah Jesus, It's like in your eyes Brady never threw a pick, or fumbled or ever made a mistake. We were down 3-28 in that superbowl SPECIFICALLY because Tom Brady sucked for 2 and a half quarters of that game. Josh and Brady were great collaborators WHEN they both "knew all the answers to the questions". But that didn't happen until they were both a decade plus into the offense.

I have always said that Tom Brady's secret was that he was "psychotically competitive". It is a great attribute to have in your QB. It guarantees that he will feel the NEED to get better every year. He will never be satisfied. Well Tom Brady IS a Patriot for life, but he is also a minority owner of the Raiders. We are now who he competes with, and if he thinks he can improve HIS team's position by giving insight to an opponent of ours, he will do it 100% of the time. THAT'S what it means to be "PHYCHOTICALLY competitive" He will weep at Bob Krafts' funeral and mean it BUT will peek at his cards to beat him in a game of bridge. It's what made him SO great for SO long. It's in his very nature.

to me, if this is true, is far more egregious than taping cheerleaders and 3 guys waving their arms or .02 psi like every other team.. if bb said this during our dynasty the ****storm would be gargantuan. it would lead the nightly "news" and linger forever just like the other "incidents" have. so glad the league office is in ny.

It's why the Broncos players thought he was a joke. They said he was not a good teacher. He was irrelevant in St. Louis before running back to Daddy in NE. In Vegas, he confided to Derek Carr that Brady "bullied" him in NE. So if you think at any point during his time in NE that he told Tom Brady how their offense was going to be run, I have a bridge to sell you. It's the same damn offense we see in NE today.

He was later ran out of Las Vegas after the team ambushed him Coach Kilmer style in the locker room because they were tired of his ****. McDaniels got into an altercation with Antonio Pierce after he mentioned SB42 to the players which was his nail in the coffin. The only reason he's back in the league is because Vrabel gave him a chance. It's not difficult to see the correlation there. With that said, he's done a good job rehabbing his image.

And no, I don't think Brady is perfect. I've mentioned many times Brady has had blunders.

This is complete ********. How exactly was giving inside info to another team beneficial to the Raiders when their season was over? I've already explained in a previous post why he did and it's because he simply wants the Pats to lose to continue his legacy. He also did it to recruit Clint Kubiak. It's not rocket science.

Okay.

Has nothing to do with Bob offering Tom a share. Provide a source with a link?
The point is that Brady wanted to be an NFL owner even holding a minority share.

Income tax and proximity to San Mateo did not factor in at all. The bad blood between the Raiders and Patriots did not matter either.

I was trying to be funny, I guess not. He also said it wasn’t Brady.

He said it wasn't Belichick. He didn't mention Brady specifically because that's who it (most likely) was.

What I don’t get is why is Macdonald saying anything at all.

Yeah, seems he wants to strut a bit.

Brady absolutely had a rooting interest (a/k/a "dog in the fight") seeing Klint Kubiak win a Super Bowl en route to becoming the Raiders' new HC. The Kubiak deal was pretty far along before the Super Bowl since he was named head coach the very next day. According to NFL.com, Brady was the driving force behind Kubiak's hiring, acting as both primary recruiter and the "de facto boss" on football matters during the search. Tom wouldn't have looked so good to Raiders fans bringing in a guy who just lost the biggest game he ever coached. So to that end, sharing what we can assume was esoteric intel on Josh McDaniels' offense with Seattle -- which MacDonald said was quite helpful -- benefited Las Vegas.
