LOL, more of a 'my kids are grown, and I'm just trying to keep figuring out cool new things to keep it interesting here.' This one was challenging and still needs some tweaking, but hopefully it ends up being fun to play and kill some time, especially as we head into the offseason.

I have an iPhone as well, and just tested it. If you double-tap the incorrect letter, you can enter in the correct one. But you're right, it's not exactly easy/obvious. I'll see if I can't change it to make it a little easier. Let me look and see if I can tweak it.

I think I fixed this. And I also fixed another bug where it should now allow you to type right through a line, even if there's a letter that intersects it, rather than having to tap it to go to the next letter.

Just fixed this. And I see why you wanted me to figure it out. You finished less than a minute ahead of @Steve102 - well done.

EDIT: Never mind, I forgot about the overall formula, with the time only being part of the factor. He got you on the time, but you got him on your score.

I was struggling with self-doubt because I was *sure* it was Wohlabaugh who was our C in 1996.

The clue is 'Jeff' and the other answers (McGinest, Hitchcock) for the intersecting down don't make sense, but even if I got those wrong I couldn't remember and the wiki page for that team doesn't list a 'Jeff' who played for that team at Center.

LOL, Wohlabaugh is in there under the list of players I entered, but he didn't fit that grid.

No worries. I'll try and alter this so that it adds a "Are you sure?" prompt to make sure that doesn't happen moving forward. I'll follow up once I've implemented it.
