Well, he signed a 3 year/12m deal with the Browns in the 2010 off season. Then we drafted Gronk and Hernandez.

3yrs/12m in 2010 is like 3yrs/18m in 2019.....no way we were going to do that for a 29 catch TE.

I remember watching him in amazement but when Gronk came around that hit a whole new level for me. Then when you add in his childlike goofy enthusiasm for life it completes a unique Gronk package. He stands alone

Ironically, he was the first hand surgeon called when Fryar cut his fingers fighting with his wife before the AFC championship Game in 1985 but he was busy in the operating room at another hospital, so one of his colleagues sewed up Fryar.

Great post. I remember all of it. Howard Cosell loved Russ Francis, called him all-world. Remember Francis getting blasted for not wearing his helmet on the sideline. Said it hurt to have it on. It wasn't like he was sitting on it (Raiders).

Almost ... Was the LB Villapiano ... IIRC, the "missed" call was the responsibility of Ben Dreith - Foxborough's favorite official.
