NFL going after Gronk for his party cruise having gambling

Get Gronk's phone.

"Some bro:Hey Gronk we're going party hard tonight bruh."

"Gronk: Ah yeah man you can bet on that."

REPORT: GRONK IS A BOOKIE

Damning evidence was found when a Gronk text telling a friend he can "Bet on that" was sent. Punishment to come.
Yeah, except the conversation wouldn't have anything to do with partying or betting and it would be from an exchange that took place 1.5 years prior to the cruise.

Agreed.
It seems hypocritical to me to make a distinction between a Team promoting a cruise and a player promoting a cruise.

Yea. I'm jumping to conclusions but at this point what else should I think?

Can you prove he wasn't promoting the casino? It's at least possible he could have.

Hell no I can't prove anything

My understanding is that he was eating and do a little gambling at PH. Via social media or other communication means did he did not tell people where he was- except on that night he was 1/2 wasted and took a selfie with he and his dog.

If what he did constitutes "promoting," then there is definitely a double standard if the Teams are allowed to promote cruise lines. I guess he might have an issue if he and his party were comped for the cruise, but even then it's hypocritical to charge him with doing something wrong.

Ted Wells is investigating NFL Hall of Fame voter Ron Borges because he buys his tin foil, Cheez Whiz, and chronic constipation treatments at Stop & Shop which also sells PowerBall and scratch tickets in violation of the "There's No Gambling At Bushwood!" rules.

Give me a break. It's just Gronk partying on a cruise ship in the off season. What does that have to do with anything?

The League doesn't want a player making money when the League could be making that money.

But really, it's about Integrity. The NFL has one sort of Integrity that it guarantees to the public, it can't guarantee that same Integrity from a player that gambles or gets paid for gambling.

So Trust the League, not the Player.

I'm surprised this isn't breaking news considering the Patriots are involved, lol...

Goodell's punishment = Gronkowski must now play for the Jets.

Pretty sure that punishment would fall under the "Crimes against humanity" category, though it would be kind of funny to watch Goodell try to convince the International Criminal Court that article 46 allows him to do whatever he wants.

It goes without saying that NFL attorneys are not "above reproach."

This smells like someone (**cough**Pash**cough**Gardi**) trying to tuck it a little bit to Fredo Shaft. As we all know, Fredo's public balancing act is to pretend that the lawyers are driving the Park Avenue clown car, rather than Commissioner Scheisskopf, so the revenge motive is a likely driving force for this IMHO.
Fredo Shaft? What are we, 10 year olds?

when is someone going to step up to the plate and smash Goodell in the face with a baseball bat?

I guarantee legal representation would be free...at most, 6 months in a work release program for a LIFETIME of pure joy and satisfaction.

This might be in response to Tony Romo's lawsuit against the NFL.

Gronk’s “booze-cruise” becomes issue in Romo lawsuit

Key items from the link: "The NFL specifically knew about the party cruise and its ties to gambling for more than seven months leading up to the event; yet the NFL took no action to either discipline Rob Gronkowski or prevent the event from taking place.”
That is exactly what this is in response to. Romo's lawyers literally took a page out of a 7 year old's playbook, pointed at Gronk, and said "SEE?!?? You let HIM do it!!!"
