Two things:

- Vincent's memo is a Reminder, which means there is an existing rule that the Panthers were clearly violating. The response to this rule violation is to send out a "reminder" memo to everyone and not punishing the guilty party? If I didn't know any better, I'd say the league making up as they go along in terms when and why they enforce their rules.

- The Panthers claim the baseball bats were supposed to symbolize "bringing the wood." How is that possible? We've been hearing for months now that the meaning of words or objects is strictly literal and not open to alternative interpretations. The word "deflator" (or any derivation thereof) cannot be used in any other sense other than removing air from a ball. That's it. A baseball bat can only be used for hitting baseballs. There is no other possible interpretation or symbolic value. I'm sure people are lining up to mock the Panthers for the silly lie they concocted.

If he doesn't uphold it, it's BS. I already lost my fantasy league championship because ODB was on the field to catch that TD pass. Complete and utter BS. If fantasy leagues had any integrity themselves they would wipe any stats from post late hit to all this coming week if Goodell doesn't uphold it.

Why does this make you so concerned? In order for the Patriots or any of their players to get a fair hearing they had to go to the courts anyway... Seems like par for the course to me.

I was going to say the same thing. So there is an NFL rule in place and the Panthers were caught red-handed breaking the rule. In fact, it sounds like they've been breaking the rule all season.

Where are the fines? The suspensions? The lost draft picks?
