Considering the lengths your team's management has gone to try and weaken and discredit the Pats OFF the field, I think we kind of get that you are hoping to dethrone the Pats ON the field.

File this under "Duhhhh!"

They will probably measure the Patriots cleats at half time. Kensil will come up to the trainers and say "you are in big ****ing trouble. We measured the cleats." Followed by a Mortensen report claiming the Patriots cleats measured at 4 inches over the standard height.

And then, no denial by the league and everyone believes the cleats were actually 4 inch knives designed by Bill Belichick.

Perhaps they should start with more modest goals, like maybe holding the Pats under 200 yards rushing for a game, or perhaps only losing by single digits. Dethroning seems like they're trying to hit a home run before they pick up a bat.

Wait, so you are saying that a T.Y. Hilton clone isn't going to help them stop the run?

Luck should spend less time worrying about dethroning the pats and more time worrying about throwing another 4 pick game against them. Luck has basically giving the patriots free wins every time we have played him. dude is a turn over machine.

I try to separate the players from the owners/management, until given reason to think that that is wrong. I mean, let's face it, right now I wouldn't want to identify Brady or anyone else with Bend Over Bob.

In this case, what Luck says is pretty reasonable: “The Patriots are obviously the defending Super Bowl champs and our defending conference champs so there’s a high amount of respect for that team and what they do....They’re the kings of the league right now and everybody would like to dethrone them — we’d like to dethrone them but you have to look at the season as 16 games. There are fans and media who will hype up certain games and circle them in red on the calendar but, as a player, you lose sight of what’s important if you get into that mode.”

There's no evidence that he had anything to do with the sting and, as a player, I think he probably wishes it hadn't happened because it will make it that much more difficult to beat the Pats, who are going to come into Indy looking for blood.

Just like everyone else, your teams strength is measured against the Patriots! Year in and year out someone will beat us and think they have won something more than a game. And every playoff they see the difference between the Pats and their team.

Malcom Brown c'mon down!

A sweet cherry on top victory this offseason was watching the draft and having the Colts chat room open. So many Colt fans were obsessed with Malcolm Brown and it would have been a very intelligent signing for them given their deficiencies in run defense.. when they made the pick for that WR, other than a few Stat freaks, everyone was freaking out... then the Patriots picked Brown with the 32nd pick and they went into full melt down mode.

The taste of their tears were delicious!

Wait, so you are saying that a T.Y. Hilton clone isn't going to help them stop the run?

It's more important to a lot of them to have more weapons so that Luck's stats go up so they can proclaim him to be the best QB in the league.

It's a very odd bunch over there in Indianapolis

Dethrone us?
In the game of thrones, you either win or you...

...accuse the winner of playing too rough or "cheating." Whatever.
